Lady-Sanctuary Jaysus. This has... been a while... Welcome back, but I'm sorry to say that at this point there isn't much that you're returning to. We had a pretty good run, I'd say, but this guild has largely had it.

hah everything *did* die pretty hard. Probably because of the whole people growing up and having lives bit. I'm sure that's a pesky thing to a lot of people.
Not all bad though. You never know who will pop back up and stuff.

You never know who will pop back up and stuff. It was more this site becoming an absolute hell hole. Shcofield, or whatever his name was now took charge and monetized absolutely everything. I guess he's out of the picture, but he did irrevocable damage to this site and it can never be what it was in function or in spirit. Too little was done about it, and the trust and joy is just... Gone. Sadly, there's just been a Gaia-shaped hole in my life, but what I really miss is the old guild and the people. It was a hell of a good time, while it lasted.

And I believe it when you say it tanked itself hard when it monetized literally everything. Last i hear the marketplace is still fukked pretty hard with overinflation and all that. And I guess there still hasn't been any real way to calm that down? TBH the best thing you could do at this time is reach out to people and maybe make a discord related to this guild. Since discord is the new hotness and everything, it's the logical step to take. Besides, it makes real time conversations a lot easier.

You can stop for a little with stagnation, you can slow down with gold shops and gold sinks, or you can just ******** floor it by creating gold generators. Whatever choice you make, there is no going back. The market regularity is just as surely and permanently gone as my trust. That Discord server is a damned good idea. The only trouble is that I don't know how to get a hold of most of the people who used to frequent this place. I'm also a bit new to Discord and wouldn't know how to make a server.

Discord is easy, mate. Not the same feel forum wise, but it works in a pinch. Let me know if you need a hand.

Tamwyn_the_Mage Discord is easy, mate. Not the same feel forum wise, but it works in a pinch. Let me know if you need a hand. Honestly, I kind of love it. But the way it is is that as members, we've really scattered to the four winds at this point and frankly I don't blame anyone for leaving Gaia. Some of them I could track down, others are burned bridges, but I've wound up putting enough distance between myself and Matasoga at this point (and other users have understandably put enough distance between themselves and Gaia) that I just don't think that I could fill a Discord group anymore. Had this happened during the guid's heyday (and Discord existed back then) hell yes. I'd have loved to do a thing like that. As it stands, I just don't think we have that kind of numbers. Honestly, I don't feel bitter. Sure I'd hoped for more, but we had five awesome years. Not everyone can say that much.
