Appearence: a Well tanned young man, from long days spent snoozing in the afternoon sun, his hair is the same straw color as his fathers, as his eyes are just as grey, if not darker. he is lean and wire built, a long stretched stature, but full of strength and vitality. his long lanky build makes for a smooth grace of motion( when he isnt drunk). his nose looks to have been broken several times in years past, and is thus, crooked. his smile just as crooked as his nose, and sometimes, his chin is lightly adorned with a short stubble.

Overview: Daisuke is an enigmatic young man, with more behavioral quirks than a squirrel on Lsd. He is often straight forward, though his answers are given in an incredibly round about way, causing many people to become aggravated with him quickly, and he often makes comments about this aggravation, with an air of humor and jest. He loves a good joke more than any compliment, especially if the joke is about him. These "jokes" tell him he has made the intended impact on his companions. He is quick with a laugh, or a light of your smoke( especially if you happen to be Sanzo), and Despite a rather lackadaisical nature, he Absolutely LOVES to be relied upon. he often refers to people asking him to run errands as "special Missions."
Despite being an insurmountable goof, Daisuke, Like his father before him is a brilliant mind, and a capable combatant, though sometimes his humor will get the best of him on the battle field, and he will start getting "flashy" as he calls it, and just mess around. He is a carefree spirit, and rarely ever sees a need to be serious, so it is common knowledge that if his humorous grin disappears, to be replaced with a scowl, or uncertain frown, the situation is extremely grim in nature.
People have almost always underestimated his potential, seeing him as nothing but a work shirking, skirt chaser, and he tries very hard to reinforce that image, because he likes the look of surprise on the person's face when he defeats them in three moves. His respect is reserved mostly for captains, cause theyre the ones who pretty much imprison themselves in a gilded cage, just to keep the soul society protected, and running smoothly. He also respects squad four, and the fact that they shoulder some of the most menial and embarrassing workloads that the Seireitei has to offer.
When he is not working( there is a difference between the "not working" he does while on duty, and REAL not working, as though it seems like he accomplishes nothing in his day but nap, his repetoire of abilities to get work done is almost endless.) he can usually be found in the nearest bar, throwing back sake like its water, and flirting with every passing waitress, or person of female persuasion sitting anywhere near him. he is definitely more "amorous" than his father was.
At night, sometimes music can be heard from his quarters, as he plays a small wooden flute, when he thinks no one is watching. He is oddly embarrassed to be caught playing music, and if he is not playing, or drinking, he is reading, nose buried far into a novelized adventure of some sort.

Is their soft spot obvious, why/why not: Yes, because he often is chastised by his female coworkers for being a little to forward, and he has taken quite a few lower down, inexperienced shinigami under his wing, to try and teach them to be efficient at everything they must do, though if caught in the act, he merely shrugs it off as teaching them how to pick up women in a bar.

Biggest Vulnerability: he is a caring sort, though his methods of caring are slightly obscure. There have been people in the past who have taken advantage of this fact to lure him into traps, and ambushes.
Background: the Legitimate son of One Kisuke Urahara, He made his reputation very quickly in the Shinou academy, a blond haired, wisecracking, ladies man. He was off course lucky that he was even admitted to the academy, for he was the son of a shinigami who had chosen a life in exile, and the central forty six had actually been reluctant to even allow him through the senkaimon, but after years of careful prodding from prominent voices inside the Seireitei, and Kisuke's own efforts, Daisuke was admitted entry, and acceptance into the academy. he is eternally grateful to his father, for his persevering effort to get him in. It was this amazing endurance that instilled Daisuke's Secret work ethic, because it made him realize, that only through a continuous slew of hard work, would it be possible to get anywhere he wanted. During Daisuke's long years of service to the Gotei, he lost contact with his father, and subsequently has no idea about what has befallen him, if anything. Thanks to this concern for his father, he will often intrude on conversations of other people if he hears his fathers name mentioned. His primary goal, is to someday take the same place his father held in the records of the Seireitei as the captain of squad twelve. that one goal is his primary drive and motivation, for all the work he does, be it mammoth in size, or minuscule. He often tends to aggravate the members of squad eleven, because of his witty remarks about their intelligence, and often ends up fighting them. the only one he can remember having thrashed him good is none other than the current Kyuubantai sanseki, the infamous "Hakuda Whirlwind", Hisagi Suzuran. though he remembers in all fairness, it was likely because he had made a comment that she seemed far too feminine for the juuichibantai. lesson learned.
Type of childhood: he led a rigourous life in his child hood, Often playing hard in sports with the other children of Karakura, though he in someways was above them in ability, he took their games of soccer and baseball seriously, and instilled a love of recreational sport. he has tried several times to introduce soccer to the soul society. none to any avail what so ever.
Most important child hood event that still effects him/her: Watching his father's slow but steady fight to allow Daisuke to be admitted to the soul society to become a soul reaper.He is eternally grateful for the man known for his eccentric ideas, and his odd attire.
Why? watching this fight instilled him with a tremendous Work ethic, though it is seen by few.

Zanpakuto name: Ayatsuri Shi ( death puppet)
Zanpakuto sealed Appearance: a Straight bladed zanpakutou, with a brown hilt wrap, and a tsuba shaped like a double crossed peice, used by puppeteers to control their dolls.
Shikai Appearance: the sword completely dissappears, leaving two dark gloves on Daisuke's hands. from the gloves' fingers trail luminescent strings that cannot be cut. on the ends of these strings, is a life sized doll, wrapped in a Ragged brown cloak. beneath the cloak, the puppet holds two Rust stained katana.
Shikai Release Command: Butokai( dance)
Shikai Abilities: The puppet is controlled by Daisuke's hands, and fights with its evil looking blades, for an effective combatant, as the puppet is resilient to damage. Daisuke is also able to fight hand to hand, while still controlling the puppet, equaling a fighting force of two.
