Mercury did, honestly, feel bad for the way he'd been taking care of Ramiel thus far. The celestial naga had been nursing an unfortunately bad sunburn that had overtaken the entire expanse of his little Poke'boy's body. Thankfully, Ramiel had gotten better with relative ease and no kind of scarring, and was currently half-curled up in Venus' lap, sucking on a bottle of grape juice. The three of them were going camping for the weekend, Mercury in the hopes of bonding with his son at all, and Venus in case that didn't work.

As a matter-of-fact, one of their best customers invited them to come on a trip with her family, helpful considering none of them would be able to drive without legs. Mercury and the mother of the lemur family that they were going with gossiped almost the entire way there despite Venus' snoring and the loud noises made by Ramiel and his grape juice bottle. When the lot of them finally pulled into the camp site, Mercury gently nudged his brother awake, looking out the window with the wide, curious eyes of a child. He'd never been this far out of the city before.

Bouncing a bit, he had to force himself to wait until the car finally pulled to a stop before he got out, taking a deep breath. His eyes widened a bit at the fact that there actually seemed to be oxygen in the air, as opposed to the polluted, grey air that he was so accustomed to breathing in at home.

Ramiel, on the other hand, didn't seem too excited at first. He cracked open one of his dark eyes, glaring at Mercury and then at Venus, jabbing the man in the chest to get him to wake up before struggling his way out the door that Mercury had opened. His own eyes did get wide when the world was suddenly displayed to him, however, and he looked around at all of the things that he had honestly never seen before. Pine trees and mountains and... and the air had no flavour here!! Eyes wide, he didn't hesitate to slither off into the forest, grape juice held tightly to his chest, intent on exploring this new world.

It took an hour. An hour before anyone noticed that Ramiel had left, and that person was Venus. The dozy naga blinked his way open and stretched, having barely registered the fact that they were there at all. Early mornings did not agree with him. Smacking his lips, he slunk his way out of the car, yawning once again as he regarded the campsite. Unlike the rest of his family, he had not been so jazzed to leave his big city; to be honest, if Ramiel hadn't have gone, he probably wouldn't have either.

Speaking of which... Venus' eyes widened slightly as he realized that his waist hadn't been tackled with reptilian love yet. Suddenly much more awake, he slithered over to his brother, grabbing his shoulder with an uncharacteristic urgency. "Mercury? Where's Ramiel? Have you seen him lately? I only ask because he wasn't with me, and he, y'know, usually is."

Mercury jumped when he felt his brother's hand on his shoulder, turning with wide-eyes toward the male, unintentionally scoffing in surprise. "Y- Wha- but he was with you!" the younger Eilian exclaimed, orange eyes wide as he glanced around, praying that he would be sunbathing or just jump out from behind something. "O-oh my God, Venus, we have to find him!!" he said desperately, grabbing Venus' shoulders with tears in his eyes before he was off immediately, not realizing that he would probably get just as lost as Ramiel. Great, just great. He finally tries to bond with his son and he loses him.

Ramiel wasn't very scared. He was slithering through the trees, excited by everything that he came upon. At the moment, that was a deer standing in a clearing. With wide eyes, he stared at the large animal before slithering closer, reaching out on hand to press again it... and it was gone before he really got close. Pouting harshly, he growled after the creature before continuing once again on his merry way.

Erik hated the idea of having to socialize his new children. In fact, he hated the idea of leaving his house entirely. He normally only did when they were running out of food, and he--why they were out camping was beyond him. A friend had somehow convinced him that little boys needed to spend more time outdoors; which had led said friend to lending him a tent, and other camping equipment. Sleeping bags, a cooler, and lanturn had been among said equipment.

So the young computer genius, genius though he was, had struggled to set up their campsite. With very little help from either of his two sons (Virgil seemed to think Erik's struggles were amusing, and Dante was terrified of everything that moved).

"Virge, do you think you could help me?" he asked, looking over at the feathered boy.

"Dante needs me," was the answer. Sure enough, Dante was clinging to the older boy. "He saw a squirrel," Virgil explained.

A squirrel wasn't the biggest thing to be worried about in the woods, though. From behind the small furred creature dove a long snake-child, looking like he'd practically flown from the trees, crashing headlong into the ground and skidding into a bush, his finned tail-tip the only thing sticking out of it. The tail vanished with a yank and a few snarls before the messy, sweatered, and dirt-covered naga fell from the bush and glared at the campground that surrounded him, obviously confused as to exactly how he got there.

In a moment, he had straightened himself -still covered in branches and brambles- and pulled back into a defensive position, ready to strike as he growled furiously at the strangers, golden eyes snapping between the lot of them warily.

...wait...

He paused in his anger, straightening up and glancing around, tail-tip twitching. This was a campsite... like the one that Mercury had taken him to. But it definitely wasn't their's. As a matter of fact, their's wasn't even in sight, and he wasn't sure how he could locate it. He perked up even further, no longer caring about the strangers who surrounded him. Where was... where was he?
