Yeah, none of it is official. It's merely what fans have theorized. There is one doujin where it's shown that Flandre is actually turned into a vampire and adopted by Remilia. It was one of the doujins that Parth (I think it was him) emailed to me. Very interesting actually, so it's just a scenario that fans made that could link with Flandre's French name.
