i watched captain planet... i think i was 4 or 5 at that time.. i like how they tell the viewers how important mother nature is.. and they sometimes give tips on protecting it... i hope there are cartoons that go for the same cause... A lot of cartoons these days will do at least one episode on being "green". I support protecting the environment, but I tend to hate these episodes because they're often overly preachy and sometimes end up focusing more on the message than on entertainment. Studio Ghibli has some good films with pro-environment messages, some are more subtle than others. Miyazaki often tends to sneak in small ones in his films. Pom Poko, a Ghibli film, is really funny despite being kind of preachy, particularly at the end. However, it's a terribly akward film. Don't watch it with your family. It's pretty good when you can get past the akwardness...
