It's a game.
Free on Steam for everybody in T-Minus, oh...12 and a half hours. Goes live noon pst Monday. Was published by and developed by a bunch of the awesome people at Valve, who as many of you know, made awesome games such as Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, and Portal.
This one I suspect will have similar awesomeness, while having the added benefit of being FREEEEE.
So if we want to set up some games, can do that here. At any rate, felt you lot otter know in case ya didn't.
Also, I don't know much about it, except that it will be class-based and has over forty weapons.

Should start download 4:30ish, then mebbe we can play. Are you on my steam friendslist, come to think of it? Not that you have to be, I just thought that like, every active steam member on the SG was on my steam friendslist >.>

And I lost my Steam Account password XD
Awesome.
And no, my account wasn't hijacked, I just clicked the logout button for the first time in ages. -sigh- I always wondered why they even have a logout button.
Anyways, I tried every single variation of any password I have used in the last 20 years (which is saying something because I'm still 17) and came up with nothing. So I tried to retrieve my password and was greeted with a "What did customer support last reset your passphrase to?" which is a SUPER stupid default secret question.
So I filed a password reset request and will hopefully be back to playing TF2, L2D, Beat Hazard and Alien Swarm soon.
Anyone know if this is a "Today Only" type deal? Or is it going on forever? If it's today only, could someone gift it to me? Steam name is Blackout and I'm in the SG Group.

Got it, played it offline, loved it.
It is really good. Although I only played for about 10 minutes or so, then committed suicide becuase it was hilarious. Actually, the first death was accidental, after that I was just throwing them into the pit with noxious gas because of the hilarious slow-mo blood splat effect that came with it.
Oh and Ana, would you be able to "purchase" it now and keep it on your Steam account and then install it later when you have a better computer? It's an honest question because I've only ever had steam on this pc so I legitimately don't know.

Oddly, it seems the game is not linked to a Steam account. I downloaded it on the Desktop computer and installed and everything, but when I loaded up the game list on my laptop, there was no Alien Swarm in my library D:
So I had to go to the Store and download it for the Laptop too. ^_^
Not that I'll play it on the laptop as I don't have a mouse right now...

Strange, it just showed up straight away for me. Then again, Steam has been weird lately for me (doing the pre-load for TF2 when I hadn't purchased it or anything) so maybe it's your turn?
