SophieMorita This is exactly where I am stuck! Any pointers? beside my super combination mentioned before the only pointer I can really suggest (beside just grinding with Capture weapons to get fiends at the same time which is very good by the way as it gets you access to rare items) is Rikku's Mix of Trio of 9999 it allows you to deal 9999 damage with everything that does damage (this includes magic and special moves) I also recommand unlocking Wakka's Attack Reels (12 hits max spread randomly on all enemies. *beautiful boss killer*) To get Trio of 9999 you mix either two wings of discovery (you can get those as early as Calm Lands if you're good on a Chocobo...) or Two Gambler Spirits (You get 99 of them by unlocking a super boss named TH'UBAN) (and player if you think Jecht is impossible to beat well I can name about *checks guide* 35 bosses that will one hit KO you... [but don't worry it doesn't cause a game over... bruised ego yes game over no] and if you're playing Pal/International version [to those in europe and other places] you got about 42 super bosses and one ultimate boss to worry about.) That being said if you come prepared Jecht is easy... I can't say that for the other superbosses that will crush you. *gets crushed by an Earth Eater Superboss (looks like an alternate colored chobobo eater) which roars and walks off* ow...

For the majority of the battle I used Tidus, Auron, and Yuna. I think everyone got in though. Auron's hp was at 8030 and everyone else was a little higher than 4000. I just had Tidus haste everyone, Yuna heal, and Auron hit 9999 most of the time. But everyone was in overdrive so I used those. But I only defeated it on my third turn. I trained up like crazy before I defeated him. smile

The first time I played through the game I fought them with my main party of Auron, Tidus, and Yuna. The second play through was with Auron, Lu Lu, and Khimari.
My strategy was simple both times. Auron kicked a** and did most of the damage dealing. Lu Lu and Yuna were my magic attackers/healers, and Tidus/Khimari were my secondary attackers/support or buffers. Both times I cleaned house.
btw... Jecht is awesome!

Tidus was my favorite but it really blows that he was just a dream but wait dont you see him in x-2?

Annyka You never got their final weapons though? because that make the battle even quicker. Umm . . . what are the final weapons? Are they those weapons I got in the room with the crystals attacking me? xp If that's the case, I got them, but they didn't make much of a difference.

You have to use the celestial mirror and all of the crests and sigils to get them. They are nice because they allow you to break the 9999 damage limit. and yuna only uses 1 mp for everything. just think of how nice spamming holy will be. . .

Too bad I only learned about it now. xd Play another run through or you can always go back and get them because sin waits convenientally for you ti finish whatever ridiculous side quests you have to finish. I would not advise trying to get Lulu's unless you are really patient.

My initial team was Auron, Tidus, and Yuna (she was just for the sentiment). After that, it was always Auron, Tidus, and Rikku (my 3 favorite).
For me, my characters were OP, so the battle was quick and easy.
