I'm pretty good at drawing avitar art, but that's it, DRAWING. I have seen a bunch of people put samples up, and it looks like it was done on Paint or something. But then again their lines look too clean to be done in art. So I was wondering, is their some sort of popular website that you guys use to give your art that amazing air brushed look? What do YOU use?!

Thanks. Is there anyone who can teach me how to use photobucket? The only thing I can do is colorsplash!

Well a lot of people also use a tablet...

And if you use Deviant.com there are a lot of tutorials on the site. .] Its free to make an account as well -if you haven't already-

I, personally have photoshop. I've used paint tool Sai as well and it's nice, but it's something you need to get used to.

Even though I say that I use those, I have a much cheaper favourite, Oekaki. It's free, but the tools on Shi Painter Pro on an oekaki is wonderful. Once again it takes time to get used to, but it has pen pressure for tablets and the colours blend nicely in a way I just can't get in photoshop.

Both Photoshop and Paint Tool Sai cost money. They have a 30 day trial though, but after that the program becomes useless. Photoshop will not open and you will not be able to save anything in Sai. Oekaki is free. You can find oekaki boards by searching in google. It's a good program for beginner and intermediate artists. Oekaki's are also generally a community so you get comments and feedback on your art faster. smile

One more thing. A program does not determine how good a person is at drawing. Nothing beats hard work and practice. A lot of people make the mistake in thinking that once they have the tools they'll automatically become better. It doesn't work that way and if you're thinking that way, you'll be sorely disappointed when the results turn out.

I love both photoshop and Paint Tool SAI.
I mostly use SAI for my lines and photoshop for coloring though.

&& I agree on using oekaki boards. Oekaki boards are free, have a large community out there and are generally a good place to start.
Tegaki E is sorta like oekaki, but it's more of a drawing blog. I like it though. ;D

As for skill in drawing... A lot of helpful critique, using references, and practice helps!
