Welcome to a new year, everyone. I hope you guys enjoyed the holiday season, wherever you celebrated it...or whether you celebrated or not.
I have been off Gaia for a while, issues at home kept me away from the computer for a long time. However, because I was away for a long time it gave me the necessary breathing room from ED-P to clear my thoughts and realize what my philosophies are truly guiding me in life. Someof my beliefs have changed over the last year or so...some to the right, others to the center, and most have recieved depth due to personal soul-searching.
Before the new year I asked for, and recieved, permission to write a weekly article of sorts. My purpose for writing these articles is to contemplate the deeper philosophies of the right wing, the conservative, and the capitalist. I hope that this thread will interest the members of this guild and possibly even cause debate.
I shall close my introduction with this quote:
"Candor will oblige us to admit that even such men may be actuated by upright intentions; and it cannot be doubted that much of the opposition which has made its appearance, or may hereafter make its appearance, will spring from sources, blameless at least, if not respectable--the honest errors of minds led astray by preconceived jealousies and fears." Number 1, The Federalist Papers
PS: I wish I could finish my first article, but I need to be somewhere in an hour. I will be back tomorrow to post my first entry.
