SuperWoman appears on a remote island that is presumably one of Deathstroke's secret bases. Shortly after a pillar of shadows emerged from the soft ground. SuperWoman seemed unsure if what was to emerge from the shadows would be a threat or not considering Darkseid wasn't able to control such things. When the swirling shadows subsided, three figures stood where the shadows once were. In the center was the infamous Master of Fear; Scarecrow and on both sides of him were two unfamiliar faces to her. On the right stood a tall, (but not as tall as the Scarecrow) slender, Caucasian male. He wore a burgundy jumpsuit that exposed his navel, a black cape, and a sheathed sword. He stood in a feminine pose. To the left of the Scarecrow stood a small, pale child. He looked no older than nine, but in reality he was eleven. The child had dark circles around his eyes (most likely from lack of sleep), wore black tattered clothes, and wore a black cape that was just as worn as his clothes. The small boy hid half his face behind the Scarecrow in somewhat of a shy manner.
"Why hello there, SuperWoman. I've heard of your so called 'betrayal,'" using finger quotes, "and so has everyone else. You see, I'm not like everyone else. I actually have a code of moral values. Yes, I am a villain, but I still have some regard for human's life and I will not stand down to a higher power just because it simply seems like the easier choice."

I eyed the strong woman. She certainly looked tired, but she could still certainly kill me using the slightest effort. It was obvious that she's learned not to trust others within the last few hours, but then again she didn't have much of a choice. With Slade dead, she was practically on her own.
I myself did not have any reason to betray her for she would be a great adversary to my cause. I truly did not want to be the leader of the Crime Syndicate, but I'm sure that she would resume her rightful place as leader though. She had every reason to join me and my quest to stop Darkseid. To convince her of my sincerity I would either take awhile or would be very quick, depending on how desperate she is. "I am the Scarecrow and these are my two apprentices; Michael and Salem's Knight. We mean no harm," I said looking her dead in the eyes. "We are aware that Darkseid has betrayed you and has taken over the Crime Syndicate. Honestly I do not care about you getting revenge, I have other things on my mind- The future of planet Earth that is. I come to you since you would have every reason to want to take back your rightful place as leader. Also others would be more reluctant to help me than their former leader." I stepped closer to her making the distance between us about 10 feet, seeing as I was gaining her trust a little. "Darkseid plans to warp planet Earth and most likely kill or enslave all of it's inhabitants. Even though I am considered to be evil, I do not wish such things on the planet Earth. It is true I believe the world would be much better off if they all tasted fear, but I do not wish what Darkseid had in plan for the world." Michael, the one wearing black, nodded his head as I finished speaking. Lucca, continued to stand in his feminine pose and then combed his hair with his fingers.

I stared at the sleeping woman... I knew that she would be useless if she didn't even have the will to fight back. This is when I knew that I would have to start the resistance... alone. "Michael, create a veil around her, so Darkeseid won't be able to locate her."
"Yes, Master," Michael said obediently and clasped his hands. Simultaneous: The shadows around her sleeping body began to swell and become darker. The shadows then wrapped around her in a cocoon like manner. This was to ensure that Darkseid wouldn't be able to get his hands on her, she might be of use to me later. Michael, then tightened the grip of his hands since it was time to leave and try and gain the support of the other Syndicate members. The shadows engulfed us and we were gone.
