CHUUNIN EXAM : STAGE 3 BEGINS!!!

ATTENTION ALL CHUUNIN EXAM PARTICIPANTS!

As you stand, sit, or kneel doing whatever it was you were doing at the current time, you sudden feel a presence make itself known, turning to see an unnamed ANBU agent standing behind you. conveying nothing but cold emotion behind the never-changing mask, the ANBU agent holds a scroll out to you, prompting you to take it. Once it is in hand, the ANBU then makes a single hand seal as he explodes in a cloud of smoke, disappearing from the area without a trace.

Opening the scroll, you read the following:

Dear Chuunin Exam Participant,

Congratulations! You have passed the first exam and will now proceed to the Second Stage. You will find signs pointing you to a Forest on the island. Please gather whatever you will need for a long journey and report to the area marked out for you on the trees. On finding your campsite, you will find a bag, another scroll, and a parchment explaining the rules of the second stage. Good Luck.

(The Scroll also contains a map to where you are going on the island, and curiously enough, a map of the 5 Great Nations. it lists your team number and directs you to your campsite.)

(Please refer the the Nagi island: Stage 2 Subforum to find out what team you are in. check out the rules and post in your campsite, and wait for your teammates to do the same. Each campsite lists the members that belong there.)

Alright everyone, I'll be posting all of the clues at the end of the night tonight. Here's how it'll work...

1. BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE RULES. Remember your traveling posts, and stick together.

2. When you think you have correctly interpreted a clue and expect to find an artifact... Once you have ALL OF YOUR MEMBERS in the area, PM me, Deil Grist, WhiteWaterLilly, and Kagetsukiko and at least one of us will post a response. if you are correct, most of the time a Jounin will appear and present an artifact... and explain how it works... OR we will carry out your action to it's completion in recovering an artifact.

DO NOT POST SAYING YOU FOUND AN ARTIFACT, OR ATTAINED ONE! The mods of the test will JUDGE whether your action was CORRECT... and then we will reward you or not based on whether you have properly interpreted the clue and carried out an action. (Its the same concept as Auto-hitting... don't do something and assume it worked, do something, and wait to be told whether it worked or not.)

When you have all returned to your camps, when resting for the night, you find that your artifact bags have been taken from the camps, no matter how you might have hidden them. A note however is left behind:

Dear Chuunin hopefuls,

Congratulations on getting through this portion of the test. The results will be released to you shortly in who will be moving on to the third stage. You will not have much time before the next section, so be ready to begin at anytime!

...and just as a warning, make sure you are combat ready.

Okay, so I had thought that we COULD have started things up this week, but it turns out that it has aligned exactly with my vacation, where I will practically NO INTERNET ACCESS. I think I'll survive.

...but anyways, once I get back, the matches will begin. I have already created the brackets and set-up the arenas. It's up to Lance whether he wants to make it public or not yet... but I will just say this to all of you, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR JUTSU in line and well documented. The areas will have many effects and many different situations surrounding them, so it's important that what you know BE DOCUMENTED.

I apologize for the wait, but in the meantime, take the time you need and train those last few jutsu. Thanks for your patience in all of the testing and Good Luck!

As you go about your day, wondering when the next part of the exams are, you suddenly feel a presence, only to turn around and see an ANBU has appeared behind you. fighting your initial urge to strike at a sudden appearance of a masked and emotionless face staring at you, you control yourself... having somewhat gotten used to such appearances on this island. Without saying a word, the ANBU hands you a scroll and then shunshins away.

Congratulations Chuunin exam participant!

Due to your completion of the second stage, you have passed on to the third. They will begin in precisely 10 days, so use the time you have and train any remaining jutsu/taijutsu/misc. skills you have yet to master and come to the Colosseum, where your matches and your arenas will be chosen.

As you go about your days, after all of the last minute training and practice, or whatever it is you happen to be doing, a sudden loud boom could be heard from the sky. Given that the sky is otherwise clear, you look up to see where such a loud noise could have come from only to be startled by a rapidly descending figure from above you, which lands almost shockingly firmly in front of you. From behind the emotionless porcelain mask, you can then clearly distinguish an emotionless voice from behind it...

"The time has come Chuunin hopeful, the third Stage begins now. Go to Arena and bring whatever you may need for combat. This will be the final stage. Represent yourself and your country well." In a flash, the ANBU guard is quickly gone, vanishing into the wind with impressive speed and technique, leaving you to respond to his order.

For the remaining members of the exams, respond to this event in whatever thread you are currently in and then make your way to the Arena, posting there. Once everyone has arrived, or when I deem it necessary, the fights will begin. Battle Proctors will be The Captain and VCs, so go to them if you need assistance, and remember DO NOT post more then one OOC post per disagreement... USE THE DISPUTE THREAD, if necessary.
