Kukushka

But I'm not a patient person gonk

I want to know things NOW so that I have time to plan for them when they happen.

And fifteen days is forever!

Tough. The world doesn't revolve around you. Facts are facts and arguing with us doesn't change a damn thing.

Agreed. You got yourself into this situation, along with your boyfriend, and if you have to wait then you have to wait. Complaining and whining to us isn't going to accomplish anything. Be responsible and mature and try what Kukushka suggested - come up with 2 plans, so you know what you'll do no matter what the results of the pregnancy/blood test.

And just to add, in the other thread you mentioned that you have all the "symptoms" of pregnancy. I think you should know that most of those symptoms are equally present in times of great stress (such as when you are worrying about being pregnant or not) as when you are actually pregnant.

Your mind controls your body. If your mind thinks you are pregnant, your body can sometimes start mimicking pregnancy. A lot of girls even miss a period (or are late) because they were stressing about the possibility of being pregnant.

So until you have conclusive proof, all this otherstuff is just too arbitrary.

I have to wait 9 months to have my baby, but you don't hear me complaining about it. Now, my 3 year old, I can understand he is a child and can't wait, but buck up and be responsible for your actions and be patient. Yes, the waiting game can suck, but in the meantime, learn from your mistakes and come up with two contingency plans.

15 days is nothing, you can wait. It's what, 14 now? Those are the facts.

Responsible?

I'm sorry, I really am trying to take in all your advice, but I don't think I'll find it favourable if you start treating me like some sort of...fiend.

I would love a baby, I honestly would.
If I could explain all the reasons behind this pregnancy (supposedly) maybe you'd understand more.
But I can't.

I wasn't trying to treat you like that. It's just I'm assuming that you weren't actively trying to conceive. If you were, well, then I certainly understand the aggitation of waiting to see if all your hard work payed off. I think we're just trying to clear up some of the misconceptions you have regarding pregnancy results. If you weren't actively trying, then learn some lessons from it. Yes, I also know about unplanned pregnancies and while mine was a blessing, I realized I wasn't very educated and had some pretty stupid misconceptions to my fertility, lol.

I'm just going by your question about the results and giving you the facts that you're going to have to wait for the missed period. I'm not sure what you mean by reasons, if you mean reasons why you think you are pregnant or reasons why you want to be pregnant. Either ways, you'll find out the answer.

Also, I'm not sure 3 weeks pregnant (let's just say you are) adds up to a "regular" cycle with 14/15 days left. I used www.yourdays.com to see what days I was ovulating, etc. Of course, that's not 100% accurate because you can get pregnant anytime, just by the probabilities of course.

Just be patient, hard as it may be. In order to be precisely accurate, you have to wait for it. If you go into a doctor's office, they will ask for your last menstral cycle, then do calculations and they will notice if it's just been a couple weeks and not quite to the missed period, they will tell you the exact same thing.

We're not treating you like a fiend. It's just that you keep telling us that you need answers now as though we somehow had the magical power to change science. We can't. And no matter how many times you tell us that you don't want to wait, we still can't do anything about it.

Whether or not you want the baby has nothing to do with this. I (and I don't think anyone else either) has ever suggested that we believed you would want to get an abortion or anything else. What you decide to do is up to you. We can help you with information, but it's still your decision.

As I said before, just come up with two plans, one if you are pregnant, one if you aren't. Just in case it turns out that you are, in fact, pregnant, you should start watching your diet as soon as possible. Some things, like folic acid, are needed very early in pregnancy to help with brain/spine development, so eating foods rich in it now is a good idea (even if it turns out that you aren't pregnant).

My doctor once told me that if you are sexually active, you should always keep a good diet JUST IN CASE. The early weeks can make a big difference.

And for you, if it turns out that you aren't pregnant, then the only ramefication is having eaten some healthy foods!

If you really want to know right away then go and have the blood test. They are more accurate from everything I understand. Of course, as everyone else says the doctor may not want to let you have one but that is his/her decision.
