-Mikanne- Hey hey now, it's not about the characters we're mourning here--it's the VAs! *makes a memorial to the VAs of Gensoumaden Saiyuki--flowers and all--and weeps her eyes out, kneeling next to it* crying I wish I could mail Genon my VA grading/critique to them...*see previous post before this one* Well, if you're interested, a friend of mine made this . . . . Website . . . here . . . . now!I think it has a lot of things that you guys might be interested in! (I've done my part in it too . . . Currently thinking about making banners for the site . . . .

Guys... Now that they've started, they're not going to change the VAs, no matter how much you protest. And even if they could, they wouldn't be able to get the guys that VAed for Genso; it's more or less feasibly impossible. Nor can ADV do anything now to acquire the licence to release RELOAD.
Just... get used to it, or watch it subbed, because it's not going to change until GUNLOCK rolls around, if at all.

My Opinion on Reload:
Anyone else notice the animation was a little weird? gonk I liked it much better in Gensomaden...
But that fact aside, my opinions on the VAs:
Sanzo - Eh...I just keep thinking Sanosuke from Rurouni Ken. But I guess I could live with it. He sounds...too dry when he yells, though. ><
Gojyo - Not nearly as cool as the original dub VA, but I could live with this one, too. At least he sounded somewhat similar.
Goku - Bleh! He sounds like a typical, whiny anime character. >< I wish they'd gotten Joshua Seth (Hige from Wolf's Rain) to do him instead. Or somebody who'd sound more hyper.
Hakkai - X___x Hated the accent. I wish the VA would have just dropped the accent and sounded normal. (His roles in other animes were good!) And he doesn't act as funny, either.
And I didn't really mind many of the others, except Yaone. ><; Didn't like it a bit. Koushu sounds good, though. Wendee Lee does a great job on female villains. XD And Nii wasn't too bad, though the eerie ADV voice was better.

I agree . . . but I will admit to this: Reload actually made me really get into the series (the animation IMO made the characters look really cool-looking . . . . especially Sanzo . . . . *drool* Damn it, who put me in fangirl-mode again?). But yeah, the animation did look different (change is good sometimes . . .) . . . . whee

NOOOO! crying I loved the ADV cast. I used to watch both sub and dub but now I'll be limited to sub because of changing voice actors! stressed You just shouldn't change voice actors.

I watched Reloaded...
The voices suck. It made me sad. Hakkai sounds like a creepy perv. Gojyo sounds like a dork. Sanzo sounds... well Sanzo still sounds rather smexy... but Goku sounds all whiny. It sucks. *pouts*

Don't forget Vic M. as Koukiji!! He is one of my fav. voice actors! He does Ed in FMA, Dark in D.N.Angel, and of corse Koukiji in Saiyuki! (I think i spelled koukiji wrong -.-; wink

(I think i spelled koukiji wrong -.-; wink ^^ Not positive, but I think it might be "Kougaiji." And yeah, I like Vic's voice for Kougaiji better than the VA they have playing him in Reload. (Although I don't mind it. It sounds a bit like Aoshi from Rurouni Kenshin...) The only voices I absolutely couldn't stand in Reload were Hakkai, Goku, and Yaone's. sweatdrop I can deal with the others'. Only a couple weeks until Reload DVD 2 comes out, whee! (Although I doubt the voices will be any different. XD wink ~SK

Okay. I decided to gather my courage and hear clips of the new Reload cast . . . .
And I cried on the inside.
A lot.
I swear a piece of me wilted and died when I heard most of them.
*hugs HK Reload* My new best friend (only until my plushiee comes in of course. ^____^ ). . . . *glomps*
