1: Fill out a Wild Pokemon Card in the "Encounter Card" Thread.

2: A mod will accept your request and assign your opponent. You will then RP battle the selected opponent (You must battle for at least six posts total against the selected Wild Pokemon.)

3: Catching Pokemon has been devised into a system based on rolling dice. On your first post for a Seeking Encouter. Roll a 100 sided die. This number will be your basis for a capture. At the time of capture (six posts later.) You will declare a SPECIFIC ball for capture. this is the other half of the formula. based on the ball used it will determine your sucess rate.

The game is organized so that wild Pokemon may be used to:
Increase your team
Evolve your Pokemon

There are three kinds of wild encouters.

"Seeking Encounters" are for catching Pokemon you would like to add to your team

"Progress Encounters" are used for both evolving Pokemon.

"Dex Encounters". It's obviously going to be impossible to keep up with hundreds of Trainers (hopefully) and their Pokemon encounters so I'm condensing the system.
1 Stage one Pokemon = 10 encounters. You don't have to win this match but I am requiring you to post at least five times for the fight to count.

A Trainer needs to know how to roll dice on Gaia.

To lighten the load on mods:A battle that has not been replied to in three days time is considered stale. Stale battles are treated as losses.

You will have to specify the type of battle you want on the Encounter card

You don't have to catch Pokemon to add them to your Pokedex but you do have to beat them to evolve your Pokemon

Free battles do not count towards Pokedex updates. You may however evolve your own Pokemon through free battles.

Stage one Pokemon are divided into eight groups and will be distributed among the mods evenly.

If a Trainer is on a Seeking Encounter they are obligated to catch it. I'm honestly not sure how we'll determine a success/fail rate of captures so if anyone has a suggestion please PM me I can't do this alone. The battle WILL continue until the Trainer: catches the target, runs out of Pokeballs, Flees the fight.

Progress Encounters: These fights take place for Evolving. The wild Pokemon are chosen as random through mods discretion. Upon beating the wild Pokemon the win is added to their evolution counter. 5 wins= evolution to 2nd Stage. 10 wins= evolution to third stage. Since it would be impossible to keep up with each individual Trainers Pokemon we'll be keeping up with Trainer's wins. Every 5th win they get to evolve a 1st Stage Pokemon. every 10th win they can choose to evolve a 2nd stage to a 3rd or they can evolve another 1st to 2nd.
