An oddly colored german shepherd, quickly moved though a open field. He was trying to reach a small group of trees before the sun sunk below the horizon. He had been travel all day, so he was ready for some rest. Drakon's golden eyes turned to the sky to see that the sun was almost touching the ground. He shook his gold and green pelt, before stretching his jaw. Drakon was use to hold the crystal ball, but given enough time it can still get heavy. Looking back at the trees, he saw that he was almost there, so he quicken his pace.

Ezekiel Blue had somewhat the same idea. He found himself on the field today and wanted to get some cover, both for himself and his stick. However, the shepherd was taking a much slower pace. He didn't mind finishing his little trek in the moonlight, he felt relatively safe here as he hadn't sensed another dog nearby...

Until the wind blew. While Zeke was going at a leisurely pace, someone was behind him. Coming at a quicker pace, now that he was listening for him. The shepherd stopped and turned, stick-in-mouth to see a surprisingly colored shepherd in the distance. Greenish, with some gold. He was carrying something too, the juvenile dog couldn't help but wonder what it was.

Though, he knew well that not everyone was trustworthy. He turned and kept his slow pace, ears pivoted back to keep track of the actions of the other. If he decided to talk to him, Zeke would respond. Or he might want to just waltz past, that was always an option.

It wasn't long until Drakon saw another figure ahead of him. He slowed down his pace as he came closer. He notice that it was another shepherd when he turned around to look at him. He also notice that the other dog was carrying what seemed to be a stick. It did make him wonder why he would carry a stick, but then again it could be like his ball and have an emotional importance. SInce the other turn back around, Drakon realize that they were heading to the some place. If that is true then maybe he should introduce himself to the younger dog. Anyways it would be rude just to walk right past him without saying hello. "Hey!" he called. "Are you heading towards that group of trees?"

The dog kept his ear tilted backwards to hear if there would be a small caravan to the edge of the meadow, or if they would both go it alone. Not to mention, if he would be attacked by the stranger- there were a number of dogs out there who would do that.

But for him to accomplish that, he would have to drop whatever was in his mouth; that was an unlikely circumstance if the stranger was anything like Zeke.

He stopped when the stranger addressed him, turning to face him. "Yup! Are you?" he asked, though he knew it was a stupid question. He was glad that the stranger had not just blown him off. While he wouldn't be terribly upset, he would have found it odd.

"My name's Zeke," he said through his stick with surprising clarity (seemingly from carrying it around so much.) He felt that he just wanted the introduction out of the way.

So younger shepherd was heading towards the place. Though that wasn't surprising since that was the best cover in the area. By now Drakon was walking at the same speed as Zeke, so they were walking next to each other. "Yes, I am," he replied. He also didn't have any problems speaking clearly, but unlikely Zeke's it was only a thin piece of rope that was in his mouth. "And I'm called Drakon." His ear twitched, as thoughts went though his head. He was wondering why Zeke was out here. Drakon was quite tempted to ask, but it wasn't his place to know.

"Nice to meet you, Drakon," he said. "Yeah, I was headed off to those woods there for the night, but I don't mind traveling a bit in the dark. Sometimes I even enjoy it- it's cooler that way, you know?" Unlike the other shepherd, Zeke had a black saddle marking that made him quite hot in direct sunlight, and it was a pain to pant and carry your stick around. He was certain that Drakon would understand that.

"It's much nicer to travel in the evening. So where are you from?" he asked, making small talk.

Drakon nodded to agree that it was nice to meet Zeke. "True it is much cooler at night," he replied. He had now match Zeke's pace, so they could easily talk as they walked. A yawn escaped his muzzle. His lower canines kept his crystal ball from falling to the ground. Though his mouth was shut when he shook his head. "Sorry, I've been traveling since early this morning, without rest," he explained. His golden eyes looked to the sky to see the the moon had risen before the sun had fully set.

"I'm from a place far away from here," was his only answer. For a moment saddest clouded his eyes, but only for a moment.

Zeke caught Drakon's yawn- he did that relatively often. He yawned, keeping his mouth shut as much as he could, almost losing his grip on his stick. He had to quickly dip his head to regain the grip on it, but he didn't drop it. "I know the feeling. I haven't been traveling since morning, but I have been doing a lot of it lately... I tend to sleep in, but I travel a good distance each day," he explained.

"I see. I have been around a lot of places, and I'm sure my birthplace is quite a ways from here, but... Well, I don't really have a 'home base' right now, you know? I've been wandering around for a long time," Zeke said. He had been a wandering dog since he was born, as far as he knew. Strangers helped him with food until he could start to become self-reliant in that respect, it was a pretty good deal, really. He'd had a nice life thus far, but was in search of that something extra that made it sparkle.

Drakon let out a soft laugh when Zeke caught his yawn. "You do that well," he commented about keeping the stick in his mouth. His mind quickly move back to travel, as he thought about how Zeke did his traveling. It seemed like a pretty good idea, only for the fact that you would be start in closer to the hottest part of the day. Drakon met try it sometime, if it weren't for the fact that he like traveling in the cool morning.

"I don't have a territory of my own, either. I guess I'm own a quest to find my place," he said. His golden eyes have been looking forward as he watch the trees get closer and closer. They were almost there and the sun had now fully set.
