Ohayo. <-- Would this be romanji and the symbols are kanji? That's what I've been told from someone who speaks japanese. Also don't they read from right to left instead of left to right?
I have arrived to help ^^
私 <Kanji
わたし <Hiargana
ワタシ
Watashi < Romanji
Myself < Translation
Kanji is a symbol, hiragana and katakana are pronunciation, and Romanji is how you would say it written with Roman letters ^^
When Japanese is written horizontally (like English) it is read left to right like English, when it is written vertically (up and down) it is read right to left ^^ Some light novels and all Manga use the Vertical format ^^
I hope I have helped. Please PM me if you need anything else ^^
