My thoughts put into prose. I hope you enjoy.
The darkness falls into a sleep as the sun will rise
Once again, the night inside ceases to die
Like wilted roses on a long forgotten grave
I sit in wait reduced to naught but my name
The acid rain will soon enough eat even that away
I question if I should even stay
I question if my own eyes will ever see the light of day
What would that be like?
Is happiness something to be rationed?
Maybe it’s a kiss, but nothing of passion
Like lust, it’s always in fashion
It remains skin deep
While humanity sleeps
Blind eyes by the billions
They never change; never grow even by the seasons
Perversion
It is just a lower-class version
And a waste of time
A pathetic compromise
Made for those
Who are too weak to stand the truth.
