My name is Terra Leighann I'm 18 years old. I weigh 247 pounds. I'm five foot eight. My goal is to be 180. I'm not sure if anyone visits these journals anymore, but.. I guess it doesn't matter in the end. This is for me, even if I would LOVE the company and support in doing it. 10 JULY 2010:my backsidemy frontsideface

Sunsway 3 lbs in the 5 days since your first post? Congrats! How often are you gonna weigh in? Everyday so that at the end of the week any weight gain isn't surprise. I've gained the 3 pounds back because I fell into old habits. I'll lose it again though. I know i will :] I quite like the class :]

Bah, you'll lose those 3 pounds again no problem. Just gotta stay focused. Just think of how awesome it'll be when you definitely do reach 180 in just a few months. So worth it.

This guild wouldn't be so lively if it wasn't. smile So, to make it a bit easier -- how about setting some weekly goals? One step a week -- non-negotiable -- that'll let you adapt and take you where you want to go. My goal as of next week (Saturday) will be 2 bottles of water a day (1.8mL). You could do it with me! =) EDIT: o_O I meant 3 bottles of water a day, which is 1.8 LITRES. I may have been slightly drunk when I wrote that. xd

Your motivation will increase every time you reach a small goal which will make reaching the large goal a little easier. I think you are doing great so far. Keep up the healthy eating and exercising and you will lose weight in no time.

Hi pernicious! I'm HZ - welcome and feel free to visit/chat anytime! Weight loss is not only difficult, but most every weight loss success story has more than a few road bumps. The trick is to not let that stop you - we're all human, and what you do most of the time is way more important than what you do for one day. The water aerobics, increased water intake, and frequent weigh-ins sound like good ideas. So do the small goals. What I find particularly works as a small reward - and this may be kind of silly - is to update the journal title with my total weight loss every five pounds. Something that's never too far away works well - then before you know it, the five pound increments start adding up!
