so, i took my CPT, and i didn't do so bad realy, despite my anger at myself for missing so many Algebra problems i should have known. xp i was tired, and i hate myself for letting it happen.
but anyway, i apparrently did good on it, cause i have a couple basic Math Classes pooled into one Math Credit Hour requirement, and one English Credit Hour requirement.
i've settled on an A.A. in Criminal Justice, but i'm angry about the University Transfer... >.> meh. Post Sec didn't have anything decent. confused
EDIT: let me correct myself, i have a College Composition placement, Combined Math & Algebra placement, and Advanced College Reading placement as College Prep classes.

leastways as long as mom's right and can afford to pay Tuition... sweatdrop she keepssaying not to worry about Financial Aid, that even without it she'll pay the Tuition, but i told her it could be up to 4k dollars. naturally, she insists it won't. xp no mom, of course i don't have credibility, i'm just yer bookworm son... rolleyes i don't check with reliable sources before making statements at all...
anyway, here's hoping that all's good. whee i am SOOO happy! mrgreen
i gotta be up bright and early for my Orientation, it's from Nine to Noon, and the Campus is on the edge of town... so i need to take 2 buses, EARLY in the morning! o_O;

Congrats and Good Luck!!! blaugh
Well anyway, take everything you can(class and money-wise wink ), and I don't know how your state operates, but my husband got financial aid through the state of MO when he went, and I would say it was probably the best way to go for us.
You should also check out any community scholarship programs your area might have, if you haven't already. Check with your City Hall and County Family or Financial Services offices.
Trade unions, farmer coops, utility companies, and all sorts of other unlikely places have helpful financial programs for students who have been accepted into colleges. I am not sure that Fall semester would give you time to qualify though, but you never know 'til you check.

I have a B.S. in Criminal Justice and I wish you all the luck in the world. I have been working security for 7 years and can't do much else because the field is so competitive. If I had military plus my B.S. I could do almost whatever I wanted. I'm also an EMT but that doesn't pay the bills so I'm thinking of going back for nursing.

The government is also offering a lot of money for students. I got a Pell grant for several thousand a year. I think it covers 1 semester out of 3, but hey, free money is free money.

Just remember--what ever you do--finish school with some kind of degree or it's all for nothing! I've had so many friends who dropped out and then had to pay back 10's of 1000's of $$$ on minimum wage. Talk about sucky.
