The current official definition of a meteoroid from the International Astronomical Union is "a solid object moving in interplanetary space, of a size considerably smaller than an asteroid and considerably larger than an atom".
A meteor is the visible streak of light that occurs when a meteoroid enters the Earth's atmosphere.
A meteorite is a portion of a meteoroid or asteroid that survives its passage through the atmosphere and impact with the ground without being destroyed. Meteorites are sometimes, but not always, found in association with hypervelocity impact craters; during energetic collisions, the entire impactor may be vaporized, leaving no meteorites.
Most meteoroids are destroyed when they enter the atmosphere. The left-over debris is called meteoric dust or just meteor dust. Meteor dust particles can persist in the atmosphere for up to several months. Skin Tone: Light blue/gray
Eye Color: Gray-black, or full black.
Hair Color: Silver/black
Hair Style: Almost like this yet when looked at from the front view, there are two long strands of black coming from under the spikes.
Height: ???
Build: Skinny, like the average dust.
Clothing: As far as clothing goes, he wears a lot of bright colors. If he were to look up at the sky, where he came from per se, he'd love the night sky, so sparkles catch his eye often, as well as any color seen in a sunset. He also loves the clothing his female 'mother' wears. So he tends to go towards the female trends. Tighter fit clothing as well as very long, flowing sleeves with lots of lace. Many scarves and sashes. He is a flamboyant dresser, for sure. His style is so different from another male, it's almost scary.
Accessories: He is in love with jewelry. He'll wear almost every type of jewelry, be it long flowing necklaces to bangles, bracelets, large flashy rings, anything that catches his eye.

Personality: Astro, as he likes to be called, is quite a funky little guy. His personality is rather different from most, but then again, he does have some similar characteristics that his 'mother' does.
He is quite kind, but in an unspoken kind of way. He will do kind actions as often as he can, but he doesn't talk much. He does love to write however, so he'll write any chance he gets, and when he does talk, it isn't more than a few sentences at a time. He tries to keep his talking to a minimum, lucky for Rose.
He often will sit, stand, lay, whatever, somewhere and just stare into the abyss which is his mind. He will often give blank looks, probably making others often feel uncomfortable. He will smile slightly and just stare into their eyes for he is completely fascinated by them. He can get caught up in someone's eyes so quickly, and forget he's even around other people. He will often look up to the sky and try to find pictures within the stars. One of his favorite things to do.
If he were more flamboyant and talkative instead of reserved or shy, he would probably be considered very homosexual. But nevertheless, he does love the girls. Despite common belief, he is not gay in the least. He dresses up in women's clothing because he finds them to be beautiful and sometimes more comfortable than the male counterpart. Other than that, he just likes the way they look, not the gender they're made for.
He doesn't dislike anyone for how they were created. He looks at males and females as blank slates, neither really associating them with being either gender. He does enjoy the company of women a tad bit more, only because for him, he relates better to women than to men. He isn't a manly man, thus giving off the aura that he could be a bit homosexual. Though he may be called it at times, he isn't, and holds no grudge or anger towards those who do say things like that.
As stated, he is quite shy and most of the time likes to be left alone to write or just think. He often writes in a journal because he finds that to be the most soothing thing he can do in times of stress. He tends to isolate himself from others because of that reason...stress. He hates the stuff, whenever he feels the least bit stressed he'll lock himself in his room and write whatever story comes to mind, or write back up on another story that he had earlier and wishes to continue. If something stresses him in public, oftentimes he'll feel quite uncomfortable and try and deal with the situation by keeping quiet, yet he may begin to fidget. Don't be alarmed, he won't go off and bite anyone's head off, he isn't like that. But he has this nervous fidget about him, which then, if the pressure becomes too bad, he'll close his eyes and act as though he has a pencil in hand, writing on either his thigh or he may cross his arms and pretend to write on his bicep, thinking about any story that can occupy his mind while he is not able to write anything down. Once he makes it through a tough situation, he will likely calm back down and just try and be as kind as possible, probably making others feel uncomfortable because of his lack of social skills.
Likes: Most women, the cold, writing, family, looking at the stars, clothing and accessories.
Dislikes: Anger, hatred, bugs, some women and hot temperatures.
Possible Powers: Controlling Climate? As stated in the above post, it says that sometimes the meteoric dust particles can give off electromagnetic radiation and change the climate.
Of course, these are just my descriptions of him. You can do whatever you wish to him, if you don't find it fits.

Build: Her build is average. Not anorexic skinny, nor extremely fit or overweight. She is just the average woman.
Clothing: Clothing for her is more about comfort, but she also can get dressed up pretty for a night out or a day trip. She loves long, flowing dresses as well as regular clothing like jeans or plain pants. She hardly ever wears short skirts/shorts, she isn't like that at all. She likes the clothing that covers, but somehow she can pull it off. It would be very off if she were to wear something that was giving the vibe of "sex deprived" or something to that effect. Her clothing choices differ from outing to outing. She could be in a nice, long red dress, a black suit for work, or whatever else really. Her clothing choices would suggest that she isn't picky, that's for sure.
Accessories: She will often only wear necklaces, earrings, and small rings. She doesn't like flashy jewelry, but she does like necklaces a lot, sometimes small scarves, purses, etc.
Other: She does have a few freckles throughout her body. One on each of her shoulders, a small one on her nose, an even smaller one under her right eye. Other than that, she is your average woman.

Simplistic Personality: Will do ANYTHING to get what she truly wants, act any way, any time. Loves children and wants the best for them. Finds men rather unappealing. Somewhat shy and overemotional at times.
Personality: For the most part, Rosalie is a rather self-centered woman. She won't let you know that upon first impression though. To see her greed, you must really get to know her. She can act kind and caring towards an issue, which sometimes doesn't even phase her at all. She can act, so she isn't always found out and can be quite convincing when she wants to be.
Due to her rough history, she doesn't take too kindly to people. She doesn't see things in a negative light, but she wouldn't be the one to go to if you wanted some positive advice. She had a rough childhood, causing her to not give second chances to people who probably deserve them. Also, she has become greedy, always wanting more and more physical things, but she is smart with her money and wouldn't blow it all on a night out.
Her mind is constantly flooded with the idea that she would do anything to get her way. Being a rather good actor, she can manipulate a lot of emotions within herself, so if she needs to be sad to gain the sympathy of a co-worker, she can act it. If she needs to be kind and loving towards someone because of whatever reason, even if she doesn't care if that person fell down a hole, she will be. It just depends on what she feels will get her farther in life.
Her love life is completely non-existant. She cares nothing for men whatsoever and very few have earned her trust. She doesn't automatically hate all men, but what her brothers did to her and the family, walking out on them, killing themselves out of selfish greed and depression, not even thinking of how it would affect her, that tore her trust from men. As stated, she doesn't hate all men, but those who just want her for the 'love' she cannot stand. Thus one of the main reasons she doesn't put herself out there as much as other women tend to do. She could care less for love, she is a reporter, not a hooker.
To be honest, she wouldn't be the best parent, but she wouldn't make the worst for sure. When obtaining a child of some sort, she is rather iffy on it, due to the fact of how it was given to her. In her case with her first son, Damian, she was given him out of the blue. No warning whatsoever. It's like suddenly a child is on your doorstep. She absolutely adores children, any and all kinds. She hates to see them growing up like she once did, so when she has a chance to adopt, she probably would take it. That is the only love she can feel, the motherly love. Although her real personality does show through, her greedy, selfishness, but with a child present, she is instantly softened, making her more aware of the needs of another being.
Likes: Children, writing, her job, getting her way.
Dislikes: Not getting her way, most men, her boss, bugs, some animals.
History: Born to a rather large family of six within the Faleen region, Rosalie was one of the middle children of four. Her parents loved each and every one of their kids. She had two older brothers, Simon and Brady, as well as a younger sister, Nicole. The four children grew together and loved one another as siblings did, often fighting but always loving each other in the end.
Their father was an English tutor at the library near where they lived and their mother was a stay-at-home mom with all her love to give. The parents sent their children through the best schooling possible at their younger years, and their mother, being exceptionally good with math and science helped out quite a bit in the tough struggle of life. Her brothers were also gifted in the ways of math and science while Rosalie herself was gifted with English. Her sister was average at everything, but excelled in looks.
When the kids were still rather young, Rosalie being only fifteen at the time, the parents were murdered, the mystery was never solved. No one knew why this small family fell victim to such a crime, though it devastated them all. The eldest brother, Simon, became the breadwinner for all of his siblings while Brady fell into depression. Rosalie was forced to care for her siblings as if she had taken the place of ‘mom’.
The family was stable for about two years after the incident, though living in broken condition, moving from street to street, getting by day to day without anyone else’s help. This once close-knit family did end up breaking apart after Simon could no longer provide for them. He became so filled with rage and hatred for his siblings that he took what money he had and ran away, never to be heard from again. Brady ended up committing suicide later that same week due to an overdose in pain pills which the family kept in order to keep headaches and fevers to a minimum. That devastated the family further. Rosalie sadly gave up on her sister, leaving her with an orphanage within a month of Simon’s disappearance and Brady’s suicide. She would never be the same, and grew up realizing that what she did was terrible. She never forgave herself nor her older brothers for what they had done to the family.
Within a few months of that, she realized that the only person she had to care for was herself. She enrolled herself into a little free school program at the age of eighteen to start really working on getting her life back on track. She lived at the library, literally, going ‘home’ only when she was forced. She later found a full-time job of her own working for a local paper. They found her English skills to be phenomenal and hired her on the spot. She worked her way through that little program and then found that she needed a more stable lifestyle.
Making her way through college was an amazing feat. At the age of twenty she enrolled in the college within Faleen which she actually gained the money through grants and other scholarships for the English program. Once out of college, she then found herself a better job as a traveling journalist and reporter for whoever payed the best, mostly the top news company but often found herself traveling from company to company. She did however find a stable home in Aimes so she could work and have a place to live.
Making herself known in the world is what she plans to do next. But as of now, she lives alone. What will come of that? Nobody knows.

xD Well! I can say for starters is that...I really like your character! I think that he would be a very interesting dust and that his appearance/style of dress and whatnot have been explained very well.
However, whilst you've stated that he's not gay, well...what are his views on, for instance, males? XD And I'd like to see a bit more rounded personality, as you seem to have focused on very specific traits. What is his outlook on life in general? How would he react to the things that he hates?
Also, in regards to your guardian character, I really like her as well, though the one note of worry is that her backstory doesn't quite fit the understood setting of the world that Life Dust plays out in. From what I understand of it, I would think that it's not at all set in a modern atmosphere, thus possibly negating some of the college aspects. You'd probably have to get one of the staff to back me up on this, as the settings given for LD are quite vague, causing me to be overcautious with the settings wherein I RP my characters here. 8'D

In response to the setting thing. It's no problem with the educational aspects but it would be better if you read about the world : http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=14769773 , specifically Faleen, Land of Knowledge has the best educational setting in the LD world. Other cities don't really have good schooling or some have none at all. I'd like you to incorporate the world more c: Overall I like it, the dust is pretty unique and the personality is very curious to say the least XD I'd probably want the dust to be more 'rounded' as seph said, more realistic so probably you could add more personality traits. But aside from that I do like everything else c:
