Your Eyes
were i to write A sonnet to your eyes
i would start with praise and thanks for Mine
to view orbs such as words cannot describe
so bright, so captivating, so divine.
'till i saw those eyes - those eyes! - i was blind
were i struck dumb, to never speak again
(truthfully, you leave me so all the time)
but for one word, till my lifes very end
i'd unburden both my soul and my mind
i'd whisper in Your ear the word "divine"
i could watch the sun rise, then set, then rise
and scoff at it when compared to your eyes
the jealous flowers whither on the vine
they know they can't compete with the divine
i would start with praise and thanks for Mine
to view orbs such as words cannot describe
so bright, so captivating, so divine.
