Shiny Speel #1

Everything started changing after I graduated Highschool. I never really got along with the other students there, though I had a group of friends that stood by me. There were never any girls that I liked but I had girls as friends. Things like that never really appealed to me, but then again, I never really found my other half either.

But yes, everything was starting to change and graduating from that place awakened... something. I started to see things that weren't there and I even sought proffessional help because of it, but it wasn't something that they could cure, it was like an imaginary world was co-existing with our real one, only something you would hear in a SiFi movie. It was only confirmed what I had been seeing when I met that girl in that imaginary realm and then in the world we live in...

Just like Alice in Wonderland, I was sleeping in the park, a usual spot that I could just hide from just about everything. I had woken up and heard a noise but when searching, all I could see was a shadow of what was there. I decided to persue it, not sure why it intrigued me so, but I followed it. That's where I found a tree and a hole at it. Knealing down, I peeked down in it, seeing a yellow glow. My curiousity was tugged forward, litterally, as I hung over the hole a little too much and the earth where my hand rest crumbled away, making me fall into a hole that had expanded.

That was when I was dumped so to speak, in a different type land. It looked like earth, trees in the distance, grass on the ground, a dirt path going through the plains. Yes, this was different from where he was. If you lived in the city, you knew that even through trees you could see the buildings; here, there were none. There were birds, but they were to high to see if they were anything different than what they were supposed to be. Reguardless of my situation, I looked up to see that big hole in the sky almost directly above me, though I couldn't see up it at all. Looking around, I decided to go and walk the path a bit since it was there, my curiousity tugging towards it again, as though there was an invisible rope someone else held and tugged int he direction that it wanted me to go, so I followed it.

Who knew if time stoped or not but I kept walking, nothing coming up at all except an ocean int he distance that seemed to grow farther evertime I walked to it. I started to run, but it seemed to stretch backwards more and more. That was whenever that girl popped up. Like someone dropping something from the sky, a flash of light pink suddenly started to form infront of me as though pixels were forming a lifeform. It was a very fast formation and the end result was a girl in a light pink dress and hat, with a frilly neck, thing, that looked like it was from the 16th century. It was possitively royal and it didn't quite go along with her sharp blue eyes and blonde hair either.

She stared at me for the longest time ever, my eyes shooting around at the scenery so it didn't discomfort myself or her, but she seemed to follow my every gaze and feature. Finally I looked at her in the eyes, her face and body as still as ever, the thought of it being a real live doll of some sort, made me feel uneasy again.

"You must have fallen down through that hole that was supposed to be fixed, your clothing is all dusty and dirty. Oh my, I shall fix it for you," the girl said in a normal, but rather cute voice, the tone seeming a bit stern at first only to end in an 'ohwell' sort of tone. She pulled a wand out of her dress through the chest area and she tapped it on her gold looking shoes before swooshing it around in the air, gold specks falling to the ground every now and then. Sunnedly, the clothing glew yellow for a secod and then the dirt was gone. It was like magic... wait. Magic wands, glowing sparkles, a girl dressed up in a weird outfit... this was a magical world? But surely things like this didn't exist, right?

"Well you aren't quite on the right page, but I guess it is a world of magical... sorts," the girl answered, blowing on her wand and allowing light specks to fly off of it.

"Wait I didn't say any of that, I thought it... How did you hear me?" I asked, my mind now confused and trying to concentrate at the same time. The girl tilted her head and stared at me again,t he gesture getting a bit annoying. The girl then changed it quickly when I thought that and I unconsciously put my hands to my mouth, like I said something I didn't mean. "So you can read minds?" I asked a bit hopefull that I was correct.

"Yes, but no. It's hard to explain and especially to you, but i'll try to make sense of it for you. This world is... imaginary to others, but not to you. Imaginary is actually a word that describes this place in a whiole, but only to one person, you. You see, this world is something that you created, but without you knowing it. If other people could see a world simial to this, it would be called their imagination. But you are different in the aspects of your imagination for yours is a part of you. You were never a normal person, as you can tell and the reason ebing is because you have a gift of creative thought, hence the reason why you win awards for writing and art, it's in your imagination to day dream. This is like a daydream world, though the way you arrived was due to a few helpers that you don't know about, but I will introduce you to them later on. The reason why I can hear your thoughts is because not only did I come in contact with you, but you created me, though you didn't know it. See, I am what you saw in your friend Carly in the real world. You are just friends with her, but you know her well and you know her charcter. In your mind you thought of her as a different sort of person, based on the impression she left on you, which created me. Try thinking of something and morphing it in your imagination, I garentee it will appear here, if you truly wish it to." the girl said, all the while pacing up and down infront of me, my ears listening intently.

Think and morph, huh? Well here it goes. Okay lets see.... a grandfather clock that tells time and has those other designs in it... but when it spins it actually creates a portal and then when opening it you can walk through it and go to your destination, based on your thoughts to transport you... That was what I thought and I closed my eyes, thinking about it in lots of detail, the only way my mind can do it. When I opened my eyes, I saw it morphing and moving into what I thought it was, the detail coming out as clear as if made professionally and with a lot of money. the girl was making it and dwiddled her wand around to make everything that was thought of. When the design was done, my jaw only dropped.

It was magnificent to say the least and it was very large, big enough to fit two people in. "Wow this is incredible! And you morphed it for me, uh whatever your name is" I said, a bit awkwardly.

"Yes I morphed it for now. I am a fairy so to speak and my name is Jex. Soon you will be able to create these things, you just need a bit of help thats all. There is actually a school in the real world that can help you, you just have to open your eye of imagination," Jex said, smiling at her comment.

Story clip #2

"Come on, Alex! It's your 20th birthday, don't you want to look at your old memories? I want to see them..." a girl said and bat her eyes up at the boy, Alex, who sighed and kissed her gently on the lips. "I can never say no to you, Lauren," he said and poked her nose, leading the way to his room. He usered her to his bed and he rummaged around his closet shelf for a dusty old box, in which he found and blew the dust off of and brought to the beds side.

Alex removed the lid to the memory box that Lauren asked to see. She cuddle up next to him, waiting to hear the stories about the contents inside, she placed a hand on he knee and another on the ground to support herself.

Alex chuckled a bit and kissed her cheek and then turned his attention back to the box. "Well lets see... this is a game I used to play all the time on my old handheld. Dad used to get so mad at me for playing it while we were camping or on a trip somewhere. I wonder if I could beat that final boss now, I couldn't before, heh. Oh! And this is a gift I recieved from an old family friend. See, you push this button on the box here and it opens up into a super bouncey ball. I would play with it all the time and the awesome thing is that if you repress the button it would come back to you. He died a few years ago though and so did the magic with it, so I suppose that's why it doesn't work anymore. He was such a great guy too, I enjoyed playing with him as a kid, he had some pretty crazy tricks up his sleeve," Alex said, showing Lauren the ojects and letting her roll them over in her hands. He looked at the wall with a picture of himself, his father and the guy.

"Hey, what's this doing in here? Do you have some sort of memory you share with it?" She asked, peering into the box. Alex tilted his head to the side and looked in with her, pulling out one solid white feather. It looked as though it had just come off of something, but it was very large and couldn't have been an animal. "Wow! That looks like it could be an angels feather, it's so white and pure!" Lauren exclaimed, running her finger down it, it felt very soft.

"That's because it came from an angel, a very special one at that. I've had this as long as I can remember, but I can barely remember who gave it to me... You know how I never talk about my mom because I never knew her? Well, that's sort of a lie. I've met her once before, but it was when I was three and you know, we never remember that stuff. But I remember it like she gave it to me yesterday, though I don't know her face..." Alex told her, a light smile spreading on his face, but then it frowned when he told her he couldn't recall her face.

"Tell me about it. It must be your most treasured memory, right?" Lauren asked, looking up at him in an eager way. He chuckled again and wrapped an arm around her shoulders, leaning against the wall so their backs could be supported. "It was my third birthday party and everyone was there, my dad, that crazy man from before, a bunch of family friends and of course family. I was surrounded by all of them outside and they all were playing with me, me being so cute and all. I remember my dad coming up to me and bending down saying, 'hey bud, there's someone really special i'd like you to meet,' and everyone got excited, asking my dad a whole bunch of questions I didn't understand. The crazy guy smiled at my dad and then looked at me, winking as if he knew something or rather, had something up his sleeve.

My dad picked me up, but I was so resistant because I wanted the toy I was playing with. I cept trying to crawl over her shoulders and pull his ears to go back, saying things like 'daddy no, toy!' I was really stubborn back then by the way, babe" he said in a macho man way. Lauren giggled and pulled her cheeks, making him grimace a bit. "Continue" she said and laughed as he tickled her in return.

"So, as I struggled and my dad struggled with me, someone chuckled to herself in a soft and sweet voice, one I had never heard before. 'You didn't bring his toy with you?' the voice said to my dad who was still walking, though towards the voice. I continued to struggle and look back at the toy, not caring who the voice was at the moment. 'Well you know how kids are, always playing with toys and not paying attention. I wanted him to finally meet you' my dad said with a loving voice. That was what seemed to get me for he only talked to me that way, yet here was someone else he talked in a tone to."

"I turned around to see who it was, but I suddenly became shy. It was like seeing a bright light that you had to squint at and it was coming off of that lady with out her doing anything. 'Alex, son, this is your mom, Elly. She came to wish you happy birthday, aren't you going to give her a hug?' dad asked, trying to comfort me and say it was okay. For some reason I only burried my head into his shoulder and refused. everyone around talking in sad voices, but I still didn't budge. I remember her giggling and trying to get my attention by following me everytime I would redirect my face. She then lit her hand and something floated out from it, a shiny light that, of course, destracted me."

"Apparently I understood mom and stared at her for the longest time, reaching out to touch her, or so my dad said. Also, after I actually looked at her and she held me, I didn't want to leave her. I guess I was mesmerized by her beauty and she was my prescious mom I never saw before. When it was time for her to go and my father pried me from her, she took a feather out of her pocket and gave it to me. She said, 'when you feel lonely or scared, confused or lost, think of me. Someday i'll come visit you again, but only when you are ready' and with that she walked away. I cried out for her and she turned around, smiling beautifully and in one bright light, two things happened. The first was that she suddenly had wings, as white as snow, and the second was her jumping up and beating her wings, flying away."

"Dad told me that I cried and cried for days for 'mommy', hlding that white feather as though it were my life source. I used to take it with me everywhere and it would never get old or break. I had never seen her since that day and I still don't remember her face. Dad says that she can't come and visit too often because os something that happened to her a long time ago. I wish I new her face though, we don't even have pictures of her around the house..." Alex said, sadly. Lauren grabbed her hand and held it, leaning her head on his shoulder. "It seems that you will see her someday, and when that comes, I hope you introduce me to her," she siad, smiling at him. Alex smiled too and kissed her lips again, leaning his head on hers, staring at the feather he held between his fingers.
