Father died of illness, mother is alive but currently sick.
Background History:
The sound village after its destruction was reformed by Orochimaru's followers, over centuries the expiriments that Orochimaru had done to living beings had continued on, much to Shuichi's sadness he was one of the expiriments that Orochimaru's followers had done strange things to. His parents gave birth to him in a old shack of what was left of the sound village as it was being rebuilt. He was then quickly taken by Orochimaru's followers and expirimented on, his parents often tried to get Shuichi back, but in all attempts failed. After years of being locked up, tested on, injected with strange substances his body began to change. He was one of the few whose gene's were combined with another animal to get inhuman like strength. Shuichi became a failed expiriment, his genes were mixed with that of a goat, giving him large like horns on his head. Although the side affects of such a change was surely noticable. Shuichi often threw up blood, finally the researches gave way and dumped the boy off into the streets where his mother and father could reclaim him.
After those years he was now about 15 when his mother had bought him a flute for his birthday, although by now his father had become sickly and had later been found to have been poisoned bu the researchers for trying to enter their labs to try and save his son. But now happy to finally see his son around his 15th birthday. After a few more months his fathers body couldn't fight the strange disease and he eventually died, leaving Shuichi without a father like figure in his life anymore. Although after those years he practiced more and more on the flute finding that his true talent layed inside that flute.
When Shuichi became 19 he quickly went through the challenges of becoming a Otokage, he defeated those that wanted the position themselves, brutally killing them and blowing out their ear drums. Shuichi had grown rather emotionless to those of the sound village, he wanted to change that feeling towards them and he wanted to change the way the village was, wanting to delete Orochimaru's evil mark on the land. Although at such a young age he became a Otokage rather easily. Attaining his goal was only the first step, he quickly wiped out the rest of the researchers in the village, killing them and restoring the lab and turning it into a medical hospital. He also managed to rebuild the underground city, making it much more livelier and a lot less dead then it once was. He had help from other villages, especially from those that were from the mist village, finding their natural ability with water a much needed skill for cleansing the sound village.
