"And ssso Sidney sssavess the fair maiden from the alter, just before the sssacrificccsial knife comes down." Sidney talked aloud to himself, as he played in the empty shop. He grasped a frog plush around the waist close to him, and flicked his whip at where he had set up a number of other plushes around an upturned packing box he had found.
"The tribe issn't hapy though, and the ssharman tells hisss followers to go after the heroic young explorer." He cracks his whip again at one of the other plushies, making it topple over. He doesn't do it hard though, he'd be in big trouble if he broke any!
"Fending them off, Sidney lookss around for an escape. There are too many tribesmen to fight off in the open and he'ss in danger of being ssurrounded..." He continues on, following through with the actions as he says them.

...Just before the shop door broke open and the mighty Eagle swept into the aboreal verdance that surrounded the mighty hero, and swept both he and maiden away in his trusty talons of white ivory.
Well...Not quite...
The door opened well enough, without too much of a hitch, and inwards did the harpy eagle fly above the ground to which "mortal" creatures stirred. For this journey he was quite alone. Donna had been practicing him out into the field on his own. She would give a certain time he had to be home, and allow the bird to fly into the wild skies of azure to find his own way and confidence in the world. Not that he lacked any of that, but it was still good excuse to get some excersize.
Carl's descent was slow comming. For a while he simply circled above and surveyed the scene below, much to his delight including The Sidney within it's chambered keep. His beak parted and a wild cry broke from his throat, before slightly he angled his right wing towards the Earth below, and soon came to rest before the older Velvet.

Another 'tribesman' toppled over with a push from Sidney's whip and one more as he turned and knocked it with his tail. But as the door to the shop gushed open, he snapped his head round in time to see the winged beast swoop inside. It circled above him, almost lazily, and Sidney got a good look. It was... it was that velvet! The one who had been creepy as a plush!
As it cried out Sidney clutched the plush frog maiden closer to him and readied his whip. Down the eagle came, light as a breeze and Sidney cracked his whip, not to touch and hurt him, but to put him off diving on them. Some gut instinct deep inside seemed to tell him that this bird was a danger. No doubt it would swoop down and stick its sharp talons through his beautiful scales and into his thin body. It was such a strange feeling to Sidney though, who had never know such a fear with the other animals here. But an explorer who didn't trust his instincts didn't last long.
As it touched down, Sidney backed off a little, his whip still at the ready and his eyes fixed on the bird.

Sidney watched, his eyes taking in the slightly stained beak of the bird of prey and it's likewise cruely curled talons. The snap of the bird's beak made him look up again in an instant. What was it doing? Trying to intimidate him? He flicked his whip near where the other velvet stood, making the same short sharp crack noise as the raptor made with his beak. Strange... was the bird trying to say something? Bring his attention to the weapon and tool he held in his scaley hand.
As Carl approached, bobbing and hopping in an odd way, Sid put the plush frog down next to him and pushed her away. He'd need his hands free if he needed to escape or do something to put this other predator off.
"What do you want?" He asked the strangly dancing bird. "What are you doing?" It seemed to Sid that Carl was trying to put him off his game. "I can play with the plusshiess. They're Iriss'ss." He stated.

Now he seemed to have the bird's attention, Sidney thought as he looked at the raptor tilting hs head curiously and ceased making the sharp snapping noise with his beak. "They're Iriss's and sshe doessn't mind uss playing with them sso long as we don't break them." He continued.
And it looked as though Carl did want to play with them, as he came hopping closer. Too close for Sidney's liking and the reptile backed off, half-raising his minature whip in warning. But Carl just passed on by and Sid relaxed once more.
"You want to play with that one?" He asked when the bird of prey stopped in front of the parrot plush and trilled at it.
