Just heard the news recently from a friend of mine who just got back from there. All he told me was that they were showing a new Touhou game that wasn't out yet. If they're showing it at AX, then it's official for sure. I haven't looked it up or anything yet, so I'm not sure as to what kind of game it is (danmaku, fighter, Aya, or a new kind) or whatever else is going on with it. Just thought I'd share that little bit of info I was dropped with the rest of you all.
If it's another official game, I hope it's better than UFO. UFO was a big disappointment overall IMO.

I haven't heard about it. But isn't it too soon for a new Touhou game? Only four months have passed since the release of Double Spoiler.
By the way, why do you dislike UFO?

Ever since EoSD, every Touhou game has come out in August, usually one year after the other, the only exception being MoF which came out two years after PoFV. Also, StB came out only four months after PoFV, so I don't think it's weird for a new Touhou to come out 4 months after DS.
As for UFO, the patterns felt really stale, the music was very eh to me (only three or four songs I really liked), the UFO system was just bothersome, and it was really easy. I 1cc'd it on normal when I first got it and was like, "Okay yeah, I'm done."
I still play it because Sanae is playable (danmaku frogs ftw) and because lesbian sailor pimp Murasa's in it.

i'm guessing this was in refernce to 12.8 as for the UFO. also, i can understand why you don't care for UFO, but as someone who has trouble on easy mode, none of the games ever seem easy to me, so i like them all.
