Hey dude, guess what. Humans are animals too. They're mammals. And it's part of nature for animals to eat other animals. It's called survival of the fittest. And humans are the fittest species now. We are at the top of the food chain. We have adapted to all sorts of conditions and all foods.

... and creating hospitals is considered survival of the fittest?

Nonetheless. Eating animals is nature. And personal preference.

No one cares about your feelings towards animals. No one cares about your preference of how well you like your steak cooked. No one cares whether you're a vegan/vegetarian/meat eater, etc.

Join a PETA Guild if you want similar responses to what was said.. or join a bacon Guild to recall the delicious(man... I'm hungry now)bites you've had.

In all honesty and no offense to the thread creator, this thread is pointless or in the wrong sub-forum.

Leave it be.

ok, ok, hold up. time out. I totally get where vegetarians are coming from, i get it, but it's doesn't make any sense if you look at the big picture.
1. plants are just as alive as animals
2. animals eat other animals
3. we have teeth specifically designed for tearing meat
4. look at a cow. it's slow, big, and tasty. what purpose could that have on this earth other than to be eaten? everything has a purpose, i don't care if yer a member of any religion or not, everything has a purpose. flies and rats and vultures and decomposing microbes are all there to clear up dead things, forest fires keep plant species from choking each other out and fertilize the soil, mosquitoes and rats carry disease which keep the population of everything in check, lions and crocs keep wildebeest population from exploding and over eating the grass, and we humans, we keep our prey species down. or at least that's how the world intended before we buggered it up with technology. in turn, other predators were intended to keep us in check, along with disease, parasites, each other. It's just how the world works. transfer of the sun's energy up the food chain, and death is an inevitable part of that. it'd be nice if the world could survive with everything just eating plants, they have more energy anyway because they're closer to the source of it in the food chain, but it just couldn't work. first the population of herbivores would sky rocket cuz there wouldn't be predators anymore, and then very very soon there wouldn't be a single plant left. the consumers would have eaten them all. meat is a necessary evil.

oh and another thing, what's so special about people? if animals eat other animals and that's ok, that's just the way they have to be, why can't we? bears are omnivores just like us, but no one yells at them when they pick a nice, big, juicy deer over some berries. what makes us so special? our technology? our "superiority"? our being better at killing than anything else? cuz that's all our technology is really good for. killing. from the second we stepped out of the ocean, blinking into the sunlight all humanity has ever done is kill, kill kill. not just for food, protection, mates like other animals, oh no. for ideas. simple, unimportant ideas. the lives of millions. billions maybe. and we think we're so special. well we are. because nothing on this earth is as evil and violent and selfish and pretentious as we are. think about it. a tiger kills a child. we kill it. it's evil. we never stop to think why it killed the child. we take away all its prey, keep our cattle locked up in pins. nice, juicy cattle unable to run away so, so close, but we dont let it have any. it's starving. here comes defenseless human. what's a predator to do? what it's designed for! kill, eat, survive, reproduce. but a human kills a human oh no, that's different. there's a trial, usually not even the death sentence, just life in prison. even if it is capital punishment it takes years. humans dont even have nearly as good a reason to kill as an animal does most of the time. a human one of the "oh so special" humans is dead, and the punishment isn't as bad for something that's supposed to be able to "know better" than for something that just wanted to eat!
so you're right. "eating animals is like eating humans" you're right. because we're animals too. the worst sort. we're afraid of bugs, and snakes, and sharks, well you know what? the whole world is afraid of us.

I think there's good reason for this thread to be here. (for informative reasons only, not bashing or flaming each other)

Caring about your diet and also caring about others and animal and the earth go hand in hand with wanting to keep everything peaceful and safe..

Animals get polluted too.. and depending on how you eat them, they are healthier than other ways (cooking, etc). Plants are alive too, but each animal and each plant have different nutrients, but both lose nutrients depending how far they travel or how old or preserved, etc so you still need to watch how you eat it or where you get it... Even in the cellular level - each carrying 'light' which is healing and beneficial but is lost in old dead cooked foods..

anyway, i think you get the idea..

Vegans and vegitarians lack b-vitamins which help brain function. B-vitamins are generally from animal products. So it's not actually healthier either. A well balanced diet is healthy, we shouldn't eat meat everyday like almost all of Americans but we should also not cut it out of the diet. A well balanced diet is key.

And as for it being "Wrong" cows now adays have the smoothest deaths thanks to Temple Grandin (Spl?) she was autistic and ended up designing slaughter houses to be humane. And it seems the cows are under no stress when they go in then they get popped and they're dead. Doesn't seem like that bad of a way to die.

Quit being a f*****t. It's the way the world works. A fish is helpless when it is attacked by a shark, as is a seal or an otter, etc. It's the natural order of things. Humans are the top of the food chain. If you don't want to eat animals, fine, more for me you pansy. People eat animals because they carry nutrients we need in order to survive. Most vegetarians don't get a proper intake of protein and certain vitamins and need to take vitamin supplements because they're missing what humans are NATURALLY supposed to ingest, which can only be found in meat which comes from animals.

Fail thread is fail...

Here's an idea. We should all just kill ourselves. If you think about it, it's the only 'right' solution. If we as a species were to cease to exist, then there would be no more decisions of whether it's morally right or wrong to eat a 'helpless' animal. There would be no more farms, or slaughterhouses, or anything. All the animals would be saved, and continue eating each other, without clumsy pathetic humans going around and messing things up. What a great idea. You go first, I'll be right behind you...

Edit: Actually, we should just nuke everything. If everything is dead, and the earth becomes just another giant hunk of rock orbiting a star, then there is no more problem. No one is eating anyone anymore, nothing is dying anymore, etc. It's perfect. biggrin
