The residence of Fleet Admiral Tahiri Veila Panjirinanu and her family is comprised of several buildings and security outposts. The buildings serve as houses for the several older members as well as on-site living quarters for the people who work for the Veila Panjirinanu family.

The two youngest daughters of the most powerful family in the galaxy were coming home from school, the hover car dropping them off was driven by one of their bodyguards. It pulled up outside the main house and the girls got out. The older of the two, Rina, fifteen years old, was a brunette like her father with the green eyes of her uncle. The younger sister got out next. Tion, named after her grandmother, was eleven years old, with strawberry blond hair and the gray eyes of her father. The girls were greeted by their nursemaid, who had taken care of all the children of the Fleet Admiral. She quickly ushered the two girls into the house. Rina looked to her sister. "Well, go on then Ti. I'll catch up." Tion looked up at her older sister. "But Nana said we have to both go in." Rina smiled at her sister and shooed her away, then headed over to the guard.

While Tion went into the house to start her homework, Rina went over to the guardhouse across the yard. She climbed up the stairs and pushed the door open. Three men of various races sat inside, and all three turned to look at her. The human spoke first. "Little Rina, what are you doing here?" he said, a chuckle in his voice. "I'm here for my weapons lessons!" she responded, a smirk on her face and humor in her eyes. The furry Antigan next to him looked at the girl. "Madam, I have no idea what you are talking about," he said with a wink. The third guy was already getting up. "I'm going on break now, guys." He started walking towards Rina and winked, then gestured for her to follow him. Once they were out of the guardhouse he told Rina that Nana had told them to discontinue Rina's weapon training and that they had universally agreed to sneak around Nana and continue training the girl. Rina smiled and thanked them for their loyalty.

They walked into the open field where some ships have landed and where guards generally practice their weapon skills. This was the spot where the guards have been giving Rina weapons training. The guard, a Valarian named Hurkin removed his pistol and handed it to the fifteen year old. Then he went and set up the targets at the other end of the field. After he returned to her side, he pointed at the center target. "I bet you ten credits I can get fifty points in under fifteen seconds." Hurkin nodded and withdrew his watch. He motioned to Rina and she lined up the shot. When he gave her the go ahead, she closed her eyes and fired five shots. She opened her eyes and looked up at Hurkin who had an expression of surprise on his face. She was about to ask him for the ten credits when there was the sounds of explosions close by.

Hurkin looked in the direction of the explosions. "That sounded like it came from Guard Post 1. Quickly, come Rina." He put himself in front of Rina and they hurried back towards the guard post. When they drew a little closer to the guard post, they could see flames rising from where the guard post used to be. He removed the communicator from his belt and tried to raise someone on it. All he got was static. "s**t, they're jamming us. Little Rina, I need you to find a place to hide and stay there." Rina shook her head and pointed to the main house where the sounds of weapon fire could be heard. "Tion is in there! We have to get her out of there. You know I'm a good shot. Let's get in there and get her!" She started running for the house before Hurkin could stop her. He cursed in his native tongue, then drew his back-up and took off after her.

Rina reached the house without a problem, followed moments later by Hurkin. She looked in the window and saw the backs of several men carrying high powered rifles. She counted four and motioned to Hurkin about the four men. He nodded in response and pointed to the side of the house where there was another window they could get in. When they reached the window, he hoisted her up and she climbed into the window, then offered her hand to help him climb in. Moving stealthily through the house, the two encountered two men with the same rifles. Rina lined up a shot and fired; her shot was followed seconds later by one from Hurkin and both men collapsed to the ground. Rina exhaled and leaned against the wall. She was only momentarily phased by taking someone's life. Hurkin was about to ask her if she was alright before she nodded, paused, then threw up. She wiped her mouth and then nodded again, motioning to continue moving.

Rina and Hurkin reached a terminal and Hurkin tried to send a message out, but the signal was being jammed. He cursed in his native language and closed down the terminal. "They must be jamming us from the outside." Rina nodded and looked around the corner into the kitchen, then sighed. "If I know Nana, she would have brought Tion to the safe room through the kitchen." These people were good, but that room didn't appear on any schematics of the house. Hurkin nodded and they moved slowly through the kitchen. As they came near the pantry, which had the entrance to the safe room, there were two soldiers searching the room. Hurkin indicated that there were two men in the room and both of them fired at the same time. The two went down without a fuss and Rina hurried into the room. Hurkin came in a moment later and they sealed the door behind them.

Once the pantry door was sealed, Hurkin began entering the code into the can of beans and the secret passage into the underground opened. Rina hurried through with her pistol raised, and Hurkin followed suit, sealing the door behind him. The lights were out in the tunnels, but that could mean anything. The scream that Rina hurried only seconds after descending, that's what caught her attention. She ran towards the sound, with Hurkin following and came upon several soldiers fighting with Nana. Nana, their nursemaid is a retired Army Colonel who had helped to raise Tahiri as a child. Tion was not in sight, and it became apparent why. Before Hurkin or Nana could say anything, Rina ran down the hallway, chasing the men who had taken her sister. Hurkin ran after her. Rina rounded the corner and fired several shots, hitting one man twice before he fell. The other shots hit the wall. Tion screamed as the men dragged her further into the tunnels.

Rina ran down the hall, eliminating any enemy soldiers who tried to stop her until they came to the exit to the tunnel, on the cliff face. The tunnels opened out to the cliff, where there was a small trail leading to a relatively hidden dock. Part of the escape plan for the Panjirinanu's should anything happen. Rina was soon joined by Hurkin, who pointed out the two men dragging the youngest Panjirinanu towards the boat. Rina fired several shots, but the small pistol was inaccurate at the range. Without warning, Rina leaped over the railing and dived almost one hundred feet into the water at the bottom of the face. Hurkin's yell fell on deaf ears as Rina plunged. He took off at a run to try to reach the bottom. The men saw him running down the trail and started shooting at him, which caused him to drop to the ground. Even though older, their rifles were still a lot more accurate than the pistols used by the defensive force.
Rina swam just under the surface of the water until we was under the dock. Since the men were distracted by Hurkin who was now trying to crawl down the path towards them, Rina was able to get under the dock. Her weapon was now useless, as a soaked energy pistol would only backfire and explode. She swam over to the boat and jammed her useless pistol into the engine, making sure to wedge it in there. Then she held her breath and swam under the boat. She grabbed the secondary tie down and then fastened it to the lower portion of the dock. She made a mental note to thank her mother for forcing her to take swimming lessons every day. The men on the dock dragged Tion into the boat and started up the engine. Rina cursed and swam as fast as she could from the dock.
