It had taken a little prodding from their father but Sandy had agreed to go out to the woofstock festival. It wasn't that the child didn't like dogs just that well they still remembered the hell hound fiasco and were a bit nervous. Thus far though every canine Sandy had come across had been friendly and well behaved. With their dad set up somewhere in the middle of the large event doing free portraits people's dogs Sandy was free to wander from tent to tent checking out the dogs, sponsors or little games each contained. In addition to all the people who were supposed to be at the event there were tons who came just to see it and they brought dogs too so it was a rather large, and a little bit smelly but fun gathering.
At the moment the spawn was struggling to run a brush over some sort of fat black and white puppy. Sandy was supposed to be following the groomer's instructions on how to properly brush dogs but well the child's tentacles kept trying to either steal the brush, pet the dog or play with it all of which lead to a mostly uncoordinated jumble. The tow headed child was learning better control of the golden appendages but something like a puppy to play with made them much more willful and hard to direct. At least they weren't the only one in the mock class who wasn't doing too well from what they could see.
( Bwahah I stole woofstock becuase I was there)

Espen was in a fight, with a dog. Not a serious one of course, just a fight. As soon as he tried to brush the thing, it ran out from under him and began to growl and bark before panting. Espen then barked back at it and then a growling match began between the two of them; Espen was winning, he thought.
Unfortunately he completely forgot the goal of the grooming workshop, and the focused competitive look in his eyes didn't give any hint that he'd be letting up any time soon, and the same look was being given by the dog. Even when Shane tapped him on the shoulder, he gave a quick glance upwards, but still didn't budge; he wasn't going to be beaten by a dog, that was for sure. He'd get back to that..other..thing later.

Mick paused briefly from his explanations and walked over to where the scarlet eyed boy seemed to have lost focus. He tapped the child on the shoulder, demanding his attention if in a fairly polite manner. " Kid , you need to behave or we're gonna have to ask you to step away. " Sure kids would be kids and pups would be pups but well antagonizing the animals which had to deal with visitors all day wasn't something he could tolerate.
Sandy watched this from the corner of one eye while they tried to get Delta to hold the puppy and itself still so they could get back to the brushing. The spawn just hoped the puppy didn't lick the tentacle, that probably wouldn't go over well.
