So far, I only have the top layer of the skirt done:
The front:

The Back:

The fabric is a wine colored sheet (I used it for a halloween costume one year).
It's got two individual pieces and three buttons (One is invisible.. 3nodding ). I'm using 16th, 17th, and 18th century pewter buttons for the strip of fabric on the back (At least, according to the package they're supposed to be that old...)
When the entire outfits done, it's going to have--
-A nice, white dress shirt of some kind
-A vest (Next on my list of things to make)
-An overskirt
-An underskirt (Weather I'll make that or use a skirt I have on hand remains to be seen)
-A nice little ribbon necklace... thing. : P
-I also want to include a steampunk-style eyepatch/monacle device. but I don't know if I'll have the time (or materials) to make one...
I decided not to include a bustle because I (Hopefully) will be wearing this while seeing "The Phantom of the Opera" in Atlanta on Monday, and I don't want to be sitting on a bustle the entire time. >.>
So... Comments? Suggestions?? And does anyone know where I can get instruction on making a vest out of an old blazer??
