Darcy walked briskly, making her way to their current location, eyes glancing occasionally to the map they'd printed out earlier They were off to see the little song healer, who had seemed to have taken a turn for the worse. Recently, the girl had attempted to take her own life. Naturally, Darcy was concerned. What could sadden a child enough to push them to that? Another part of her was angered; her hard work would have been put to waste. The orange-haired girl continued at her brisk pace, thinking of how to handle the delicate situation.
Aaron followed behind his sister, hands hanging from his pockets. While his sister looked agitated, he looked troubled. He felt so sorry for the poor girl... he hoped she was alright. He wasn't sure how to handle a situation like this? Offer condolences and support? Ignore the issue entirely? Try encouraging her? Maybe offer hugs?

Noel sat on the porch swing of his house, his head in his hands. It was beyond his imagination that anything like what had happened not so long ago could take place.. His Alome, his sweet, darling little butterfly love child.. She didn't want to live anymore. And she didn't tell no one, not a single soul. No goodbyes, no regrets.. And she did it with a smile...
What the hell was she thinking!! He rummaged though her garbage, literally turning her room upside down to find out why.. Why did she find that the only way? When he found his answer, a message shredded to pieces, and another note under her mattress, he immediately emailed the Azoulai children.
They knew her better than he did.. Even if he WAS her father..
For now, he waited on the porch for the two to arrive.

"Noel? We came as soon as we could." Darcy offered the greeting, cutting straight to the chase as she stepped onto the porch. "I am truly sorry about what happened. How is she?" Again, she cut straight to the chase, ignoring the social niceties her brother seemed so concerned about.
Aaron frowned at his sister's abruptness, sighing. "Are you alright, Noel?" he asked, worried about Alome's guardian.

"I'm glad you came. I'll lead you inside." He seemed pale and weak.. He gave up part of his own life-force to revive his daughter; although they were hidden, most of his left wing was gone, as it was used to bring Alome back. "Don't worry about me.. I didn't ask you to check on me.."
Each step seemed like a mountian climb to Noel.. The closer he got to his daughter's door, the more far away she seemed to be..
"She's gone catatonic... She's not responding to anything I do... That's why I called.. I'm afraid I was too late.. I brought her body back to life, but.. I just don't know.. I don't know.." Those last words were whispered softly as he gently opened Alome's bedroom door.
Once inside, they could see a giant net-canopy surrounding a bed. Noel signaled for them to enter, and tied back the Canopy to the bedposts.
"Just like the butterflies you know of, we are trapped by nets.. No matter how hard we would struggle, we cannot escape.. I'm terrified of Alome trying to hurt herself again, so.. I kept her under watch and in the safety of her room.. It may seem cruel, but.. I saw no other choice.. It seemed to be the safest way to leave her unsupervised.."
When the netting was tied back, the butterfly child was revealed. She was sitting up in her bed, eyes opened, but unfocused on anything. In her hands, there was a small stone, a 'healing stone', as her peopled called it, and she rolled it around in her palms. The silver wings that were once so large a beautiful were now reduced to small, torn nubs.
Beside her bed were two chairs, for the twins.
"I'll leave you two to talk to her. I won't be far." Noel whispered, looking at his daughter longingly, before silently stepping out of the room.

Darcy nodded, taking a seat in one of the chairs. The girl's emerald green eyes assessed the girl in front of her, concern slowly etching itself into her face. Things were worse than she'd imagined; far, far worse. "Hello, Alome..." Darcy said softly, looking at the child. Was this the same happy child she remembered? The poor girl seemed so....hollow. She reached into her bag, pulling out a small bag of cookies. "Here. Jaella made them for you." she said, holding them out the girl.
Aaron took a seat next to his sister, looking to the poor little netted butterfly. ".....I'm so sorry, Alome." he said, reaching over to pat the girls hand. What on Gaia could have made the child so upset that death seemed like a better alternative? What possible could have driven her to that? The poor little girl....

Alome made no move to take the cookies, simply rolling the stone in her hands more. Her hands opened for a moment, to let the air flow through her fingers, but other than that, she never looked towards either of them.
Her gaze did shift, however, when Aaron touched her hand. She seemed to almost flinch, though no real movement could be seen. Her head turned slightly to face them, trying to recognize who they were.
Unfortunately, she was beginning to shut everyone out, and all the colors of her room, of the twins, of everything, was now fading into nothing but a white world.

Darcy sighed, setting the cookies down next to the girl. "Alome, talk to us. Please?"" she asked, using a tone she almost NEVER used: a calm, gently, soothing tone. "We're here to help. I mean, child, when's the last time we made a house call? We took time out of our busy schedules to visit you."
Aaron pulled back his hand, look down. "Sorry, Alome. I didn't mean to startle you." he said, his voice apologetic.

No matter what they said, they couldn't pull her out of her on coming white, but before she completely disappeared, she tried to focus on them. It was hard.. They shook as if they were in an earthquake, or if it were freezing cold. Atleast, that's what it looked like to her..
"Talk... About what..? There's nothing to talk about.." She whispered, squeezing the stone tight. What did these two know anyway? They were probably just a corrupted as anyone else.
"There's nothing to say.. Nothing at all"

"We want to talk about you." Darcy said, forcing a small smile. "How you've been feeling, what you've been up to, any unusual growths or bursts in power. That kind of thing. This is sort of like a check up to make sure everything going okay with you." Was she completely dodging the recent near-tragedy? You betcha.

"... What I feel doesn't matter." The butterfly child whispered, turning on her side a bit. "You know what happened. And I regret only being unsuccessful. If I get the chance, I'd do it again."
Well... Not really, but at this moment, she felt like that there was no point in living.
"Do you think I'm okay? Is the world okay? Are YOU okay? Or do you even care? Maybe it's a 'caring' because you helped to create me. But is that even caring? Or is it for your own self satisfaction to see that I am 'normal'? Well you know what? I'm not. I won't ever be. "

Darcy blinked; well, she hadn't expected a reaction quite like that. "Okaaaaaay...." she said slowly, trying to think of how to respond. "If what you feel didn't matter, I wouldn't bother asking. There for, it must matter." She paused, trying again to think of how to answer the girl. "I never said that I wanted to see you normal. None of us in this room are normal, Alome." Was she avoiding the "okay" discussion? Yes she was!
"Is there anything we can do to help, Alome?" Aaron asked, speaking up softly. He wasn't sure what they could do, but....he wanted to help.

"None of us in this room are suicidal either." Alome was becoming more and more upset at this. She didn't want to be bothered! She just wanted to be trapped in her net, where it was safe.
"Can you make all the corruption in the world disappear? Can you make this world a happy place? Can you? Can you save the little boy who's always getting hurt because his mother hates him? Then no. You can't help me."

Aaron blinked at Alome's response, taken aback by her reaction. He opened his mouth to say something, but his mind drew a blank. How was he supposed to respond to something like that? He was just trying to help...he wasn't sure what he said that had warranted such an outburst.
Darcy was torn between wanting to comfort the girl and wanting to hit her. "No, we can't do that. And frankly, I don't think we can help you when you are so bent on being pessimistic." she said, her tone calm. Typical Darcy; blunt to a fault. "No singular person can make the place a happy or pure place. But they can make steps and measures to help make it just a bit happier."
The girl paused a moment, pale green eyes looking at Alome. "Do you want us here? Because if not, we'll leave." she asked. Her tone wasn't angry, or exasperated. It was just calm and collected, simply stating the facts of the situation.
