 He wasn't exactly sure where he was headed, nor did he particularly care.
Days were the same to the young Varg, as were nights.
He was lost, alone, confused, and frightened of what lay before him in the open world. He wasn't a particularly skittish Varg before, when he had the safety and surrounding of his brothers, sisters, and parents. He had been rather robust, thick skulled, and generally eager to impress. Kind of amazing, what a few simple weeks of being lost and alone could do to a very young, pack creature. He had only finished his second year and was still very young. His separation from his family had been a complete accident, what with a nasty storm setting in and he getting lost...
He regretted every step away from them he made, during that span of time.
Lost, disoriented, unsure of himself...
They probably thought he was dead, drowned in the swollen river or struck by a fallen limb. But he was still very alive and very hungry.
Anxious, cold, and wet from a recent rain, the sikla traveled with his head and his tail low, hoping that food would magically rain from the sky or a stranger would randomly step into his life and change his future. Little did he know that his very wish, the second one at least, would soon, in a sense, come true.

Sophie had her nose lowered to the earth, smelling for any scent of anyone who did not belong. She had left her lands, but only for the outskirts. She needed to know if a rival pack was forming, or if she would have issues with some of the local rogues in the area. She was not fond of the thought of someone trying to take her pack. In fact, it downright pissed her off.
The female lifted her head, her black nose gleaming as she sniffed. She smelled..something though she was unsure if it was something she needed to beware. Golden eyes narrowing, she approached the scent, steadily. She was a large wolf, larger than your average female. She was also thick with muscle. At first look she could be considered male, but her seductively deep voice gave her away any time she spoke. She also had a sort of grace about her that no male ever had.
She saw the golden wolf and instantly her body went rigid. Male. She growled, lowering her head as she approached. He was in terrible shape, which was all the better for the female. But she still was not a fan of males, not in the slightest. Males had killed her family, raped her, and she was tired of such a life.
"Are you dying?" She asked, quite hoping he said yes.

The young adult was far too caught up in his own self pity and fright to notice the approach of the large female until it was too late to avoid her. Her voice startled him into glancing up and he seemed to flatten himself to the earth as he acknowledged her, tail pressed firmly between his legs.
"It feels like it, but no. I'm lost."
She was thick and strong, while he was still on the small side. There was still a little growing for him to do, but he would never be on the larger size of his species.
She seemed angry and this scared him. He was in no position to fight at the moment and he did not wish to, so he retained a submissive posture and avoided looking directly at her, his pale eyes settling on her paws, instead. He had it firmly planted in his skull that if he could keep it up, catch her off guard, maybe she could tell him what to do.
