"Ahhh, Kay...He's somethin' else," Luis chuckled quietly as she stared at Evari quietly. She shifted her shoulders at the girl's observation of not knowing about her late husband, "T's one of those mindsets of a widow I suppose," she admitted quietly, "Ye don' talk about th' dead for fear that their memory goes away along with them." Luis was somber and quiet for a moment before she brightened up again, "Ye'd have liked him I think. He'd have treated ye like 'is own daughter."

The Satyress chuckled, "Would hope she doesn't worry about such things right now. Y'should be livin' yer life like a girl yer age should which is havin' fun and not chasin' after a babe," she smiled lightly.

She reached across the table and gently flicked Evari on the forehead with her fingertips, "Y'have every right to worry but if Xai is the sweet lovin' mother you believe she is...She won't abandon ye like that. 'Ave faith in 'er just as she 'ad in ya."

Something else? He wasn't a guy? ...Oh...wait, no that's a figure of speech. Duh. Evari chuckled. "He's a nice boy." She really had no other reason to think of him as anything other than a nice boy. He'd cheered her up when she was upset, let her cling to him, bought her ice cream and let her have all the candy she wanted. He was pretty awesome. A good friend! She felt a little bad when Luis's voice quieted, though she'd been the one to bring him up! So...so it wasn't Evari's fault...but she did still feel bad. She couldn't help but smile at the thought of being treated like their own daughter, giggling and playing with her hair. "Sounds like a wonderful man. Would've been nice to meet him."

Heh. No chasing after babes? Hopefully she just meant babe in the baby sense! Evari grinned a little more and nodded at Luis' assurance, turning her body so her legs were actually under the table now. "Yeah, I doubt she worries about that kind of thing. She's more into her work than makin' sure Tyyne and I have boyfriends or kids." She said with a laugh, squeaking and sitting up when she was suddenly flicked. Gah! Whyyyy, Luis, whyyyy?! So cruel. It was totally going to leave a mark. Evari even played up the dramatics by sitting up and whining and rubbing her forehead. Owwwww, Luiiiis. So meeeeean~.

"I guess..." Evari's hand dropped and she bit her lip for a moment. Right, Xai loved her. She even forgave her for freaking out about Tyyne. "It's still really scary though...you're sure I can't just not tell her~?" Evari was joking. Mostly. It was more joke than serious, but it was still incredibly tempting to just hide it. She knew she had to tell her, the thought of what could happen as far as worst case scenario went made her sick to her stomach though.

Luis laughed a bit and nodded, "He is, tried to lift Faris and failed at it, she won't let 'im live it down," she grinned lightly. The Satyress nodded and chuckled, "It would have," she murmured softly and let out a small sigh before she just let the topic drop away. She never liked talking about him it was lie insinuating she was letting him go, something she wasn't quite ready to do yet.

She laughed a bit and nodded, "I suppose that is more than alright. As long as she is there when ya need 'er that is all that matters," the woman offered quietly. Luis rolled her eyes at the girl's theatrics over getting flicked on the forehead. She wasn't going to apologize for it and it was totally needed because the girl was making with the silly talk and it needed to be stopped before it went any further!

"Well ye can NOT tell 'er and then feel all sorta pressure and uneasiness in 'avin' to keep a secret from the one who raised ye since you were nothin' but a wee sprout," Luis retorted with a small chuckle. "Secrets an' families don' mix well, child."

Evari blinked and just stared at Luis. Kay tried to pick up Faris...and failed? She snerked, a hand moving to cover her mouth as she tried not to laugh. She failed, of course. "That's my girl! Hahaha! Aw, man. That must'a been so painful for his ego." She laughed some more, calming down quickly with a snicker. Oh, Luis...Kay was going to be most displeased at you in the future, because Evari was going to find a way to tease him about this next time she saw him. She just had to. It was too awesome to not to make fun of him for this.

Sigh. Luis had a point...again. Of course she did. Evari was just being dumb. "Since I popped up in 'er livin' room." Evari chuckled, staring off out the window. Yeah, Evari would hate to have to tiptoe around her own house. It wasn't fair to herself or her family...even Tyyne, she supposed. That girl seemed to worry about her a lot. Just as much as Xai did, apparently. Evari didn't want to come home to a house she had to lie to about everything in her life now. "You're right.." She sighed and looked from the window to Luis, smiling gratefully. "Thank you so much, Luis. I really needed this."

Luis laughed with her of course and nodded, "He seemed a bit flummoxed about it," she observed and shrugged, "Faris was amused though. Highly." Most girls would be mortified at the fact that a man couldn't lift them up but not Faris. She seemed rather amused about the fact that she was one of the girls Kay probably wouldn't be able to cart off, ever, no matter the reason why he would ever want to.

"Of course I'm right," The Satyress retorted with a small grin and then nodded when she was thanked. "T's no problem, love. You can always come to me if y'ave need of someone to talk to and no one else will do," Luis said quietly as she stretched her arms up over her head with a small sigh, "I suppose I should go check on the tavern..."

"Thank you." Evari said to Luis' offer, sighing with embarrassed relief as if she'd been holding her breath this whole time. She felt a lot better! She really did! But now she had to go face Xai...she wasn't sure how she was going to go about doing that. But she'd figure it out eventually. Maybe with some stalling. Heh. "Maybe I'll take you up on that offer sometime~." It was only 'maybe' because Evari never knew if she'd need to have this kind of talk again. She was a stubborn person! Hopefully the need wouldn't arise? But if it did she'd go to Luis. She looked toward where they'd come from when Luis said she'd have to check the tavern soon, nodding and standing up from her chair. Evari wasted no time in bending down to wrap her arms around the sitting woman a tight hug, even pressing a friendly kiss to the Satyress' temple. It meant nothing but a show of gratitude, truly. Evari was just so thankful Luis had helped her.

"I won't keep you from it anymore then...is Faris going to be back soon, by any chance?" Maybe she could stall from going home if Faris was going to be back soon? She'd love to see her friend again!

"Or 'Ell you can just come and see me for no reason at all," Luis said with a small laugh and blinked as the girl came over to hug her but soon enough she returned the embrace warmly and smiled lightly at the kiss. Slowly she moved to stand up so she could walk back to the tavern downstairs with Evari.

The question caused her to take a moment to pause thoughtfully before she shrugged, "She's been a bit...Uneasy since y'last saw 'er," she admitted in a quiet voice. She smiled lightly as she twined an arm with Evari's as they moved downstairs, "But I think a visit with ye would cheer her up right. In the next couple of days she'll be in th' back yard practicin' her martial arts. You can just...randomly come over and visit her. I'll keep the boys and patrons away."

It wasn't that Faris was avoiding everyone but the Satyress felt the girl needed a bit of alone time with her best friend and thus the arrangement. "An' if y'agree to go out together...I'll 'ave some money in the mailbox outside next to th'fence."

Evari grinned. "Sure. But I think Xai'd like to hang out with ya too, of course~." Luis was Xai's friend before she was Evari's, and Evari didn't want to hog Xai's friend. She walked downstairs with Luis and looked around the tavern, making a slight face at the way a few very sloshed men were eying her. Yup, she should've worn more covering clothing. Oh well! Too late now. The news about Faris surprised her and instantly caught her full attention, however, letting Luis link arms with her. Uneasy? But why?! "What's wrong? Is she okay?" Did Evari have to beat anyone up? Because she would. She really would. She gave a nod at the suggestion, however. Yes she would definitely be coming back warning or no warning. Not giving a warning could be pretty funny! The mention of martial arts kind of surprised her; she had no idea Faris was into martial arts...huh...how did she not know that? She was definitely coming over soon.

"Yer not afraid the mailman'll take the money? Maybe we'll need codenames to arrange for it to be done at the right time so your money doesn't get stolen...I'll come over though, definitely. I miss her." Evari always missed Faris though even after a day of not seeing her. She still meant it though. All she needed to do was take care of a couple important things first and then she'd invade again...maybe even bring her more flowers or some other kind of present. Once they were stopped she gave Luis' arm an affectionate squeeze, smiling warmly at the woman. "I'll see you guys later, then~. Give her a hug from me!"

"Course," Luis laughed quietly. At the question as to what was wrong the Satyress sighed softly and pondered how to put this delicately, "She grew an'... she ain't happy about certain aspects of her growth...T's something that's been wrecking her image of self I s'pose. I try t'make her go out so she doesn't always hide indoors as much as she would like."

She shrugged and smiled, "I gots a place to hide th' money in the mailbox. There's a hidden compartment on the bottom of it that ye can undo and get things out of. I usually use it to hide other things just in case," Luis admitted with a chuckle. "She'll be glad to see ye, Love." She replied with a return smile upon her lips and nodded, "I will, and glad to see ye as always, Lass."

Wow! Faris grew too? Awesome! They grew together last time too! This was so exciting! Evari's eyes widened, she was still very confused about what was going on. What? Did she grow a second head or lose a bodypart or something? What was there to dislike? Whatever it was she was sure Faris was perfect as she was and this was all just silliness. Though if she was keeping herself in the house...it sounded like what Evari had done for weeks. That definitely wasn't gonna fly with her. Faris deserved to be happy. She'd figure something out.

"Dude, your mailbox is a ninja." Evari laughed, obviously pleased by this bit of information. "I love it! Now I wanna get her to go out just so I have an excuse to use it." Even if she didn't actually use the money inside it she just wanted to figure out and get into the secret compartment. Evari freed her arm from Luis and nodded to her, grinning. She gave the woman one more hug and then stepped back, waving a few fingers to her. "I should start headin' home now're something'. Got a lot to think about." Such as how she was going to talk to Xai tonight. "See ya, Luis. I'll be back to harass your daughter later~!" Harass in the most loving way, of course. Goodbyes exchanged, Evari then made her way out of the tavern, giving one more wave on her way out the door.

Luis laughed in amusement and nodded, "Aye, well maybe I'll at least sneak ye a lil' somethin' in there just coz, girlie," she laughed a bit and returned the hug quietly and lifted a hand up to wave in return, "Al'ight. You stay safe, don't need ye gettin' hurt 'r somethin'." Luis chuckled at the 'threat' of harassment for her daughter. "I'll make sure she is none the wiser," she replied and then after Evari left the woman returned to tavern business as if she hadn't missed a single moment.
