I used to think the meaning of the song was the fear of sex. but when i watched the video i was thinking the meaning would be about religion and gay rights or maybe.. idk, what do the peoples think?

I think its about love but not really sex, it's either that alejandro died and gaga misses her but all these gay guys are in her way, it can also be that Alejandro used to be her boyfrend or i think the video is about befriending the gay community since its easier than being friends with straight guys. I'm really not sure

She said in a interview the song was about saying good bye to her past lovers.
But in another she said the video was more dedicated to her love for the gays.

i think She was in love with Alejandro but then he went to war and he died.... and then she feels guilty bout the affair she was having.. o-o ?? idk my opinion <3

The album has the theme of fears. Alejandro is the fear of sex monster. The song is her way of saying goodbye to past lovers.
The video has many different artist elements to it. Fear of sex is in there being shown by the death of her past lovers and the almost rape scene. She doesn't show straight sex, she shows gay sex as herself as a "man". So that's her way of showing off her love for the gay male community.
The video had a lot of religious undertones to it because I think Gaga herself is turning more.. spiritual. Not really religious. Also, we know that Stephan Klein directing the video. He's done videos for Madonna including Like a Prayer so that might have something to do with it.
There's also aspects of her Gaga being against "Don't ask don't tell" which is why there are gay soldiers in the video.
I guess that sums it up in a nut shell.

I don't know what the meaning of the video means, but obviously she doesn't want the persistant stalker to call her name no more.
