Nexus of social depravity, rain dish of the human creature!
I was looking up movie reviews, and I actually saw, just now, a sidebar advertisement for nothing less than a Russian mail-order bride service. The second of their two catchphrases was, "Ready to start a perfect life with a perfect wife?"
Who the hell puts that in a sidebar advertisement? You don't think there's some more appropriate venue for that? Damn. What if little Junior starts trying to look up reviews on 'Tinkerbell vs. the Transformers' or something? I'd hate to be that kid's dad. "Daddy! Daddy! How much is my allowance?" "Why, what is it that you.... oh, Christ. Not.... not enough, kid. And where the hell are your parents? Letting you look this sort of thing up...."

I think I saw part of a documentary about that once. It made me feel sad. But a sidebar advertisement? neutral That actually makes me feel a little insulted.

The internet wasn't always so as it is now, I remember those mythical days in the early - mid 90's when all on the internet was BBS boards hosting D&D sessions over long distances, Random websites connected only by AOL search, and online rouglike games (the precursor to MMORPG games.)

That's because AOL has sucked since they started giving out "AOL 1.0" on floppy disc. I used to have a collection, up until like AOL 8.0 or something. 1.0 2.0 and 3.0 were on floppy disc, and then they finally converted to disc. God, I remember having SO much spam AOL s**t. ******** AOL.

According to my mother, people who actually do social work as a profession usually develop a dark sense of humor, as a result of the work they do.
Or they quit.

Pink said you were working at a prison, and even just doing laundry is considered social work. I don't know why but they classify all people who do prison work social workers (except guards)

I see. Well technically, I don't work in A prison, I just run cable and do data. But I work in a lot of prisons smile And get paid good to develop this dark sense of humor I have biggrin I'll actually be quitting, or at least postponing my work as I start school after like 3 years of not being in school.
