 Moving closer to the person on the beach, Nalani instantly recognizes the man as Coud. Good stuff, she thought, finally glad to see someone she knew.
"Coud!" she shouted, moving out of the brush and back onto the beach. "Hey! I'm so glad I found you. I thought I was going to be lost on this island." Walking toward him quickly, she scanned him up and down. "Whoa, did you run into something nasty?"

 "Oh ********! Nalani! The plants! The freaking plants here attack you! Where I come from, we eat the plants... not the other way around. Are you alright? Have you seen or heard from anyone else? Which way have you been moving? "

"Good lord man, the plants really did that to you? In all my years the island, I never came across a man-eating plant! Maybe we should take care of those wounds..."
Pausing, she took a deep breath. "I'm fine...I had a bit of a run-in with Tempesti, and it wasn't horribly pleasant. I tried to get some information out of him, but he was pretty vague about things. I haven't seen Lorea yet though...you're the first person I came across. It's been pretty uneventful since I parted from Tempesti. I came from the other side of the island I believe. I've been travelling west and southwest most of this time. Where did you come from?"

"Oh yeah? Did you get anything useful at all out of Tempesti? I came from the south side of the island... I've been traveling in this direction *indicates by pointing* , but I left a marker a little ways back, and it's getting dark... we should should return to the marker and see if anyone has found it yet - if not then we can camp there or thereabouts and work on a way to locate everyone... you can have a look at my injuries then... "

As you two travel, both of you need to roll spot checks and sizzla should roll a survival maybe too.

As they travelled down the beach, Nalani spoke a little about her encounter with Tempesti, taking care not to share too much about her swords. "Well, he said that he was placed on this island to guard it by a heavenly being of some sort...And he told me that I was a 'keykeeper', whatever that is...Somehow, I'm supposed to open a gate of some sort for someone." She paused, thinking about how to word what Tempesti had told her. "He wasn't very clear at all, and I realize that I'm quite simple...it was like he was talking in riddles!"
Still walking, she had to throw in his last warning. "He also said that you and Lorea and the rest of our crew aren't welcome here, and in order to stay on the island, you have to prove yourselves. For some reason, I can walk on this island without fear, and I'm supposed to help you along. How I got this duty, I have no idea....but he was awfully intimidating."
"Seems like a good idea to me. Let's get back to your marker, and we'll see if we can't find Lorea."Spot: 7 Roll: 11 Total: 18 Survival: 6 Roll: 4 Total: 10 (gah!)

As the were heading down the beach, Nalani caught a glimpse of something familiar out of the corner of her eye. Upon further inspection, she saw that it was a piece of cloth.
"Coud! Look over there!" she said, pointing toward the tree with the cloth strips hanging from it. "Looks like someone got caught up in the tree, and headed inland. I wonder if Lorea would go off on her own like that? Do you think so?"*rolls Survival to Track* Survival: 6 Roll: 13 Total: 19

" I suppose it's a possibility... especially if she were being persued, she doesn't seem like the careless type to randomly catch her clothes on something... but who knows how she'd act? This is probably the first time she's ever been out of her father's study... Do you want to persue this path? Can you track her? "
