I need help with 2 things.
1. How do you download MMD models, backgrounds, etc?
2. How do you make animations with MMD?
I've been searching, but I can't find anything to help me. I know where to finds MMD models and such, but I don't know how to get them into the program.
I also am looking for a working chibi miku download link

Here's a screencap of where to load models, backgrounds, etc. into the program. If you have the Japanese version, it is in the exact same place.
For a full list of models, you can check that out here. Though most, if not all, the sites are in Japanese. You can use a web translator like Google to get the basic gist of where everything is.
And for animations, check out these MikuMikuDance tutorials: Part 1 Part 2
It's not the most recent version, but it'll give you a gist on what to do :3

-How to animate them-
Basically, just click a bone and press rotate or move. You can rotate any bone, but there are only a few to move. The ones you can move are not shaped like circles, but squares. When you're done moving your model around four your first frame, go to "frame manipulation" and skip as many as desired. (I would suggest 10-50, so it won't go too slow. ) Then press play, and it should animate smoothly. You've probably seen videos with one or more of the vocaloids dancing. It is awesome, but they just used motion data. Example: MMD Hare Hare Yukai To get motion data, simply type "mmd motion data download" in Google, Bing, or whatever, and extract it to "Motion Data" with WinRAR.
