Night had fallen quickly, and he remained bloodied from the fight the day before. The fight hadnt lasted long..In fact it had been less than any fight he had ever been in. But that didnt ease the emptiness inside the older male. Nearing his twilight years, the male knew full well that he needed peace for his last few years. He was still strong as an ox, but he wanted peace. This pack would kill him if only in turmoil and agony. It would be no natural death, and it was something he could not accept.

His paws were tender, but he padded over to the river to lower his muzzle. He lapped at the water, thanking the heavens for the cooling feeling that it gave his throat. He had been yelling, growling, spitting, and it was time for a break.
The male lowered himself to the earth, and left his muzzle in the water to lap at it while he relaxed on the bank.

Tornado was dead. Twist was broken, and he was just as ******** as both of them.

Tempeste was angry, she had always been able to control her temper but not now, not knowing what she knew. Moranna's mate...or so he claimed, had come to tell them that she was dead. They had all known it was the most likely scenario, but to have it confirmed was something none of them had been ready for. She could still remember the sound Musketeer made, the heart wrenching cry of a father who had lost one of his precious children. It had turned her heart to stone, she promised him she would avenge Moranna and put an end to the wickedness of Agua Azul. Squall had told them that it had been Tornado who had captured Moranna. It made her stomach churn sickly to know in her heart that monster was her brother.

She was scouting now, getting ready to rally her family, those who could fight would. They had all loved Moranna, and even those born after she was gone knew how much family meant. Tempeste was still angry that Moranna's pups were being raised away from them, they belonged with Akiiki Chibale where they would be loved and taught about their wonderful mother. Moranna had been so brave, she had survived despite her poor health and constant illness...only to end because of that monster. She stopped suddenly and crouched low her eyes narrowing on a figure ahead. A small frown cross her face as she saw the vivid orange, it had to be Wazzam, the alpha male. She refused to think of him as a father, Crunch had been her father, he had taught her how to fight, how to protect, and her mother had taught her how to love and show compassion. Twist and Wazzam were not parents to her, Twist had tried to kill her!

The fact that he had failed his pups had made him feel more inferior than the fact that he had been so brainwashed at such a young age. He loved his pups, so much, that his heart broke with the fact that it seemed none of them felt the same regarding him.. Shezaam and Torrent had stayed loyal, and were in a state of hatred towards their mother. Sure, they knew that she was a product of her environment as a pup.. But she had abused Wazaam as a pup, and made him believe that she was the only one who could ever love a pup like him.
He took a deep breath and tried hard to fight back the tears that welled in his emerald eyes. He missed the family that he had dreamt of. They hadnt become that family, but he had once imagined what they would become. It was clear however, they would never be a family.. they would be forever torn so long as Twist remained.

He looked up, catching a sound to another approaching. He paused, lifting his head, slowly. His eyes met hers, and he stopped.
"Tempeste."

She had every right to hate him. He hadnt protected her from that b***h of a mother.. He had left them alone, and he had known better. So he looked back towards the water, sure she came to tell him of how he had failed her.

"Wazzam..." She murmured and walked towards him her eyes defiant. She would be alpha of the pack soon, her parents expected her to act the role now. The other members of the pack had started to look to her a bit more. She stood like an alpha, proud, her head held high and her tail unwavering.

"I've come to see for myself where your son tornado has his den. He's responsible for the death of one of our pack, and we will not allow the wickedness of Agua Azul to harm anymore innocent lives. There will be war." She declared, but even as she spoke the words she felt an odd sinking in the pit of her stomach. Alas had told her that Wazzam had been but a brainwashed pup, that he was good at his core. Tempeste had believed her mother tried too hard to see the good in others, Waz had left her with Twist to die. Yet now she felt that perhaps she had been to hasty to accuse him.

He stood, raising his aching body off the earth reluctantly. Though he still stood tall, still held the position of a dominant. If he was to drop that, he would lose everything to a rival, and it wasnt something he was about to do. He had already lost most of what was important..

"You have come to late." He responded, voice thick with sadness, though he knew it had to be done. He was aware the monster Tornado had been, and he had taken care of it himself..Something he should have done to all of the evil wolves within the pack long ago. But Twist had kept him from seeing who they would be..But now he was aware. He knew all of the wicked ones, and he would make sure they paid..

"I think we are already at war with ourselves. Split into two, we are now at each others throats. The evil, and the ones wanting to save this pack.."
He said, looking back at her, green eyes afire with pride, though they carried a look of sadness as well. He wouldnt get over this easily..this was a scar upon his soul.

"Tornado is dead, Tempeste.. Killed by my own teeth and fury. Im sorry to hear he caused you grief as well."
He responded, wanting to act more fatherly towards her, but he knew well that he wasnt the father she knew.

Too late? She tilted her head a bit eyeing him warily, was he trying to trick her away from his son? Then she saw the deep sadness, the way his voice sounded, heavy and remorseful. Mama had been right, Waz was just a manipulated pup, but now he apparently saw the truth. Was it too late for him now, would Twist win in corrupting her entire pack? Then he hit her with it and she looked at him startled, he had killed Tornado? For a moment she was silent trying to absorb that information, feeling...sorry...sorry that Waz had been forced to do it.

"I thank you for dispensing the justice we so badly needed...but this does not end here. I will return, and I will finish this, Tornado was not the only wicked soul hiding in Agua Azul." She stated trying not to be so harsh this time, but he had to understand, her pack would not live surrounded by enemies.

He was aware eventually someone would attack them for what happened. The pack itself was in shambles, and in all honesty, they needed the purging. He looked into her eyes, and saw the feeling of remorse. He didnt want her feeling sorry for him, as he already felt sorry for himself. He wanted to keep some sense of pride and this just.. this was becoming too much.

"I understand, as well as Ive expected it." He breathed, voice still deep and strong, even though he wanted to let it waver. He knew that Tornado wasnt the only mean creature in the pack. By gods he knew..and wished it wasnt the case. Most of his own children were to blame for the evil.
Tsunami and her little pups that were already showing the anger and hatred for their own kind..He knew they would turn out like Twist.. and Twist.. What to do about her. Though he'd given her an ultimatum. If she didnt quit this evil lifestyle, he would leave her, and the pack would kill her without him in their way.

She watched him, listened to the acceptance in his voice, it was tragic. She was thankful again that her mother had taken her away from this place, taken her somewhere she had learned to love and be a part of a family. If she had stayed here, what would have become of her? There were some good wolves here no doubt, innocent families caught up in the manipulations Twist was so talented with.

"Stand by me and mine, you do not have to fight against us. Fight with us, help us save this pack from becoming truly evil. In the end...once Twist is gone...we could be allies." She wanted to tell him she wanted a chance to see the good in her blood, to know her true family. Yet the time for that had come and gone, that was why she had come at first, but Twist had driven her away.

He looked at her with a nod. Giving a look of acceptance. He would accept her idea, and would stand with her to rid the pack of the evil. He'd fight to the death if he had to. He was much too far gone to give a damn about what it may have done to him in the end. He'd give his life..

"Yes. I will stand with you. Though you and Shezaam shall be allies. I will be leaving these lands, providing I survive the war thats coming."
He responded. Pack life had become too much for him, and for a wolf that could survive on his own quite well, he knew he would be better off. He was larger, he had that to help him, he also was skilled in hunting and fighting. He was well equipped for such a life.

"Shezaam is taking over Agua Azul, and Twist will be gone as well. For she is aware, that if she doesnt leave of her own free will, the pack will kill her.. If not for what she did to you..for the power of the position she so longed for."

"Shezaam?" She looked at him curiously, but decided she really couldn't judge, after all she had never really known this sister of hers if that was what she was. "I hope she is trustworthy..." She finally decided to leave it at that and see for herself once the time came.

"I cannot imagine Twist giving up her power so easily, but if you will join us against her then I would like to avoid any unneeded bloodshed. It's time for us to all be at peace, there is enough wickedness in the world." She murmured and sighed thinking of their neighbors. At least the reign left them alone for the most part, bloodthirsty they may be but they honored their word, if the tribute came they left them be. As much as it rankled to have to give them anything she knew her father had done it to protect the family, and she would have to continue for the same reason.

He knew that Shezaam was more than trustworthy. A strong ally she would make, much more than he himself. He was growing older, and getting tired of the pack democracy. Or moreso..the dictatorship that it had once been. He couldnt believe he had been so easily tricked, but then again, molding young minds was not a hard task when one knew where to start.

"I will help you defeat them. Id prefer little bloodshed, but with war, there comes casualties, and pain. What must be done, must be done."
He responded, aware it wasnt logical to think no one would be hurt or killed in a war of the magnitude this one seemed to be

She gave a firm nod glad that he would do what needed to be done, and it redeemed him in her eyes. This was the type of father she had wanted to find when she had come at first. A tiny part of her still worried though, what if Waz turned on her at the last moment, would his love for Twist keep him from doing what needed to be done? Still she had little choice but to trust him, she knew she would need him and the good wolves of Agua Azul if she expected to take Twist down. It wouldn't be so hard if it was one on one, but no doubt the wicked wolves of Agua Azul would work to protect Twist. Not for any love they bore Twist, but for the twisted ideals she stood for in the pack.

"I will find you before the new moon with my warriors...and we'll end this...together." She owed him that much didn't she? To stand beside her blood-father and help him to set his pack right. Of course once the war ended it would no longer be his pack it seemed.

He nodded, giving her a small smile before looking back to his packlands. They looked so serene from a distance, but no one could understand the turmoil and hatred that most carried in the lands. It was a land of great promise, hovering over the cliffs and the ocean. He knew that this land deserved better, and his two daughters being allies to the rival packs would keep both of the packs safe.

"I shall stand with you, and we shall get it done." He responded, eyes gleaming with a newfound sense of hope. He would stand with his daughter, and they would be one.. They would fight, and be one fighter, one warrior, as all of the ones fighting against the evil would be.

She slowly smiled and nodded moving a bit closer and giving his cheek a small lick. She had never thought she would feel for Wazzam or Twist, but her father wasn't bad, he had just been misguided. It meant more to her that he wanted to fix the wrongs that had happened because of that. He had the strength to acknowledge his mistakes and move forward to fix them. A part of her hoped she would have the same inner wisdom someday. For now it was enough to know that Wazzam was a good wolf, and if he'd had the chance, he'd be a good father.

"Until then..." She nodded and leapt over the narrow river. For a moment she stopped and just stared at her father seeing for the first time the resemblances she had always assumed came from Butter. It was easier to believe that her odd colorations had been the product of ancestors on Crunch and Alas, but there was no denial now that she knew the truth.

He smiled at her touch, and nosed her gently in his last show of affection. He was proud to stand by his daughter..To please her and show her he wasnt what she believed her family to be. With one look back at her, he nodded in a form of a bow of his head.

"Until then, Tempeste." He didnt add, my daughter, which was close to his tongue..But she knew in that moment..She knew that she had more than bad blood within her. For she was his daughter..His blood. His legacy would continue.
