"Like park," DDR pulled her hand briskly from her uncles grasp. Kian let her, thick hand uncurling with decided displeasure. In neon pink overalls, she managed to stand out against the grass and bike path and- "Cream! Want cream!"
A grab to his hand to punctuate her desire resulted in Kian's arm flashing up so the little girl stumbled over her own feet and smacked her body into his leg. It felt like a wall. DDR growled and clung to his jeans, long fingers digging into the fabric as well as she could.
"Want."
"I desire many things, little cousin. Demands are not how you get them."
DDR's sneer was too old for her little face as was that little shake she gave him (or tried to - even as a strong toddler, she was still a toddler). "Please want cream."
He gave her two dollars. The little girl snatched it from his hand with a huff and scrambled to the old man who traded the ice cream for the two dollars. She pointed to one, handed him the money, and began to gnaw at the lump of strawberry ice cream as soon as the cone was in her possession.
"Cream," she muffled around the cold concoction when Kian looked to her. "Mmmm."

Umbra was hiding behind a tree at the front of the forest-of-sorts, all stalker-like, peeking out from behind it.
Her eyes were wide and meek, and she appeared to be terrified of coming out into the open.
