rolleyes For the last time, people! Walt Disney was a horrible antisemite, but he is long dead! Michael Eisner is Jewish and he was head honcho at Disney WAY more recently than Walt. Just a few years ago, in fact. A Jew running Disney. Walt would hae hated it, but who cares what he thinks or thought or ever said about Jews? He's dead and the antisemtism of his company died with him.
You can't boycott a whole company just because its founder, whose philosiphy the current company shuns, was an antisemite.

Henry Ford was a terrible antisemite. He was even praised by Hitler himself. But that does not change the fact that Ford Cars are well-made and good for the US Economy. The Ford assembly line automobile construction system was revolutionary. If you buy a Ford, it's not like Henry Ford is going to get your money and cackle evilly and use it to hurt Jews. The man is dead!!!! Dead! And you can't just take your anger out on the nice non-antisemites who only work for Ford becausee they like well-made, sturdy, Product-of-USA cars.

Disney does not have subtly when it comes to the antagonist in a children's movie.

I mean it's a kids movie, the bad guy is supposed to be scary and dark and foreboding and of course, lose in the end, vanquished by the hero(es).

As for your future kids, don't shield them from the dark things in the world, that will only make them curious to discover them.

That's your call, but in my personal opinion Disney is very good about villains. There's no killing or anything in Disney's villains, and as a rule they are easily spotted bad guys to start with until, like in Toy Story 3, where the villain is hidden at first. And like the article says, Toy Story 3's villain is very realistic as is the whole Holocaust-esque plot, which is not only a good example of what could happen but also an example of what did happen. Toy Story 3's villain even gets a dark backstory to explain the villain's fall from innocence. Disney villains are in a wide range.
Every movie has a villain of some sort; Even 'Ernest goes to camp.' Disney just makes eerily good ones.
