Liana Mierlia
Liana was getting irritated by pretty much all through out her morning classes. Every class she went into everyone looked at her and they weren't shy about it, even when she looked over catching them looking they didn't even look away. It probably didn't help that she was only running on a couple hours of sleep so her temper was easier to ignite than usual.
Her last period before lunch Liana didn't exactly know if she was looking forward to it anymore. During two of her classes two girls and one guy introduced themselves and made small talk with her even during the class since most of the teachers didn't even seem to notice but even so she didn't know if now everyone was talking about how she was new so now they probably expect to see her. Lia understood curiousity but when they make it so blantly obvious its definetly irritating.
When she headed to lunch she went inside following the other students and saw tables everyone and people all over. Lia was half tempted to say screw it turn around and go to her dorm to take a nap but she would feel bad since Emerson invited her to eat with them at lunch and so her leaving would basically blow him off.

Emerson reached his table as just about the same time as Liana. He set his and Amelia's food down and sat down, smiling over at their guest. In his wooden bowel, he had the "main meal," and in Amelia's, there was a kind of a salad. She picked up her bowel and sniffed at the contents, apparently not realizing that Liana had joined them.
"How was class, Yank? Eh, foods over there. I think today is Ginger Veggie. It's a kind of vegetarian stir fry. Damn hippies. They're always messing with my protein intake. Anyway, there's always the salad bar if you're not into stir fry...but at this point, they're pretty much the same food. Drinks are next to the salad line; they're your standards: coffee, tea, milk, soda."
He shrugged and grabbed his fork (also a lovely wooden instrument) and began to dig in. Beside him, Amelia picked at her salad, not eating but moving the food around inside.
"Amelia, stop playing with your food and eat it. No wonder you're a twig."
He shook his head and returned to his food. Amelia speared a single leaf of lettuce and lifted it to her mouth.

She looked over at where Emerson told her where the food his. "All right" she answered and walked over to where it was at. Once she grabbed a plate and looked at the food her nose scrunched up a little. A bunch of rich students go to this school and this was the kind of food they served. Breathing out at her old school they had gotten a choice of a variety of things and if they didn't like it they would bring there own lunches of what they wanted.
Sucking it up she grabbd the stir fry figuring she'll try it and it wouldn't hurt since she never tried it before. Once finished she walked back over to there table and sat down "Lunch is definetly different here" she commented to him but shrugged and grabbed her fork.

"Just wait until we have steak-and-kidneys again. They love it here."
Amelia's french accent was even more pronounced this fine afternoon; It provided a nice contrast to Emerson's russian. Lo, but the twins were a strange pair indeed. She glanced languidly over at Liana, a a tired looking smile on her lips. Emerson leaned over his bowel, at Lianna.
"It's a bit of a misnomer, steak-and-kidney pie. There's not a single dammed piece of steak in there, or I'm a happy Jack. On those days, Amelia and I, well we usually try to sneak off of campus to enjoy ourselves a little bit of real food. You've got a grandstanding invite, if you wish it. Milly, dear, for crying out loud, you must eat."
He returned to his bowel, and thus missed the dark look she gave him. Amelia detested the nickname "Milly" with all parts of her soul.

She watched the two of the talk for a little and it seemed Amelia was still on her little ride of fun. Liana nodded her head when Emerson offered for her to come with them when they sneak out to go to eat lunch somewhere else.
"Yeah I wouldn't mind going somewhere else to eat" she said holding her fork up that had food on it. Liana looked at it for a little while before she took a bite of it eating some it wasn't the best tasting but she didn't mind it. Tucking some hair behind her ear so none of the food gets in her hair she looked back at the two of them "So do you usually go to the same place when you skip lunch from here?" she asked.

"Most days though, the food is adequate here. Certainly not worth the tuition and the bribes required to get in, but better then a public school."
Emerson made a disgusted face. He reached for his cup of...something. It was dark, but didn't fizz as a soda might and it didn't smell like coffee. Amelia shook her head and took it upon herself to answer Liana's question while Emerson's mouth was indisposed.
"Not usually. We like a couple of quiet cafés down in the college town. Good food, and cheap. A little fatty for my tastes, but you can't have everything in life on a silver spoon, oui?"
Her quick burst of tinkling, brittle laughter was unexpected and seemingly out of place. Emerson did not seem to notice.
"What do you have in the way of afternoon classes, Yank?"

Liana smiled from Amelia's laugh and shrugged "Well I could, if I was home schooled" she said and then stared at her food on her fork again, she tilted her fork to the side and it started sliding off "Unfortunately if I chose that my social life would go down the drain" she said as the food plopped back down on her other food.
She bit a small piece of her food and swallowed it as she tapped her polished nail against the table "Well I have a science, and I think gym is after that" she told him and scrunched her nose a little.

Amelia smiled at Liana then preceded to speak as if she wasn’t sitting right next to her…despite the fact that she was still smiling at her.
“I think I like your Yank, Em. She’s got wits about her.”
“See? I was right.”
Emerson resumed eating from his bowl, apparently having given up on Amelia to stop playing with her food and eat. And now she’s got Liana doing it. Damn the woman kind. Are they all children inside?.
“Who does your nails? I love them. Gym’s not so bad. If you look like a slut, the coaches won’t make you do anything. It’s the one time I tend to dress…up. You’re about my size; you can borrow my old uniform, if you want?”
She giggled as Emerson stopped eating and just stared at his sister. He…did not like the idea of Amelia dressing “up” for anyone much less an old leerchous fool. We will talk about it later. Emerson took a deep breath and pushed his anger away, not wanting explode in front of their guest.

Her eyes lifted to meet Amelia and then she let out a light laugh mentioning her outfit. "Hmm that doesn't sound like a bad idea" she said to her with a amused and almost secret grin on her face that Liana thought of something in her mind but she wasn't going to say it outloud.
"I may have to take you up on that offer if there are days I want to skip gym" she told her and winked while smiling "Gym isn't all bad but there are days when I don't want to work up a sweat just yet"

"There are days that you want to sweat? You're a strange breed, Yank."
Amelia laughed again. She'd given up all pretexts of eating,, but instead, reached into her tiny purse for a f** and a light. Occasionally, she'd steal a sip or three from Emerson's dark beverage.
"Sweating is fun, Amelia. You just need to get used to it. Besides, it's not that you sweat that matters, but what you do that makes you sweat."
"Why does that sound so dirty?"
The twins shared a laugh.
