Ever giggle at something that no one else would understand why you're giggling because something was an unintentional Trigun reference.
Well, I got this Japanese game called THE iDOLM@STER, you may have heard of it, it's kind of like Monster Rancher, except instead of raising monsters for battle you raise an idol into a superstar.
Well, you get in game emails from the rival producer, the stylist, etc, and in order to unlock new clothes and accessories for your idol, you have to get an email from the stylist, which will say a name. You'll have to memorize the name, go to the stylist, and tell her the name, and she'll give you two accessories or outfits.
Well, one time I got an email from the stylist, and you know what the name was? TONGARI! I can't read any of the game except for a few kana, since I'm not Japanese, but right in the email, in all capital letters, in romaji, was the word "TONGARI". I was laughing hysterically.
And there's also a character in Axis Powers Hetalia named Vash Zwingli. Probably the only other character I've ever seen with the name of Vash.
You ever see unintentional, or even intentional references to Trigun in everyday life or the media?
