The smartest guy ever
Anyone else think that all this 3DS hype and constant remakes of games from 20 years ago caused people to completely forget the fact that it's still standard-def and looks like s**t by today's standards? I think it's due to the fact that Nintendo acts as if they don't care and I honestly believe they legitimately don't but buy into their mindset or not HD graphics really do matter. Nintendo's strategy is swaying developers to not take on risky technological strides.
It's been so long since the Wii launched that it has become a non-issue in the gaming community. If anything, the Wii caused Sony and Microsoft to shift a lot of their money and resources on motion control development which is now the primary focus of the the entire games industry.
I personally, do not care for motion control and think the way you physically interact with a game is completely irrelevant to the game as opposed to the content within said game.
People seem to dismiss the PlayStation Move and Kinect in favor of the Wii, saying that the Wii did it first and saying it is the best platform for experience motion control. Keep in mind that just recently the public opinion was that motion control was frowned upon and was deemed broken and inferior when coupled with non-casual games (FPS, Action/Adventure, etc.).
The fact is that nothing has changed and Nintendo's interpretation of motion control is still in the stone age for an old fashioned controller still works best in almost every situation. Nintendo succeeded in turning a large profit and swaying the other two platform holders to develop motion control. This opened gaming to a larger audience but cumbered the rest of the industry in the development of truly innovative gameplay and narrative experiences in favor of a new control scheme.
The point that I'm trying to convey is, motion control is still irrelevant to me and what I believe to be the core group of game developers seeking innovation. It was a step forward for Nintendo in their goal to make money and broaden their audience but a step backward for the games industry as a whole in terms of innovation. The gaming audience has made this argument into Motion Control Wars, which was obvious perpetuated my Sony and Microsoft's move to expand into that market.
My question to you is, motion control was broken and irrelevant to core games before, why does Sony and Microsoft following suit make it and the Wii any more relevant to you now?

Very good question? Why is more relevant now? Why the ******** can't I play my favorite games with a normal ******** control. I don't want to swing my ******** wii-mote around like a spas to play as Link. That's RETARDED! What the ******** happen to choice people?
