I have a basic idea of how to do it. Basically what you do is that when your hand goes down to the fretboard, you slap. When your hand goes up, you pop. You can go insanely fast like that. However.. im still tryihng to figure out how to do taht on 2 strings that are right next to eachother. Or even a single string..

Okay, for just the plain double thump, the first hit is a slap, but the second isn't, it's more of an accent, like a strum, so essentially, slap, follow through so your thumb is resting on the next string, then bring your thumb up to hit the string.

Ummm.....right.
Anyways. What you do is forget how you slap. Got that. The way you've been slapping is now ended, do not use it anymore. After you've done that start slapping like this. Begin by muting a string with your left hand. (Let's say the A) and instead of slapping perpindicualr to the fretboard where your thumb bounces off. Slap parallel so that your thumb ends up resting on the next string. (The D) Now for a double thumb, bring your thumb back up and catch the A with your thumbnail and, essentially, pop with your thumb, and then do a regular pop with your index finger. So the rythm is. Slap, thumb pop, finger pop. Start with just muted notes, then start fretting the thumb notes. Easist stuff to do is octaves where your thumbing a note and finger popping the octave.
