So I just did this now and as I was doing it, I thought it was pretty nifty, so I thought I would share the process. Originally I was creating a tiny stencil for my stickers, so I could just mass produce a bunch instead of inking each individual one with a brush (I find that indian ink never fades off the paper.)
My spray can was sputtering so It gave me a thought. I layed down all my stickers into a kind of messy pile so they were overlapping each other etc, and then I sprayed over them all gently.

When I moved them apart they had blank spots and speckled spots.

Originally it was just going to be a nifty texture and I would just do normal characters all over it. But then I had another thought.

Buildings! Wee. Heh heh. I wasn't quite sure whether I should put this in the resources section or something. But for now its here. whee

Update 9/9/10
Same green splatter effect, except on a slightly different sized sticker. I realized it worked perfectly as single characters. Then I was like "Hey, Zombies are this sickly green colour." And so now Aux is being invaded by zombies.

11/9/10 I think it looks better now that someones tried scratching him off. Looks like he has a reason for being in pain now. Lol.
