Description: Taakya has long, raven colored hair that often makes her fairly warm working under the hot southern sun. It''s is generally kept up in various fashions to be kept out of the way. In attempts to keep the dark color from adding heat to her scalp the girl may be found with a light, airy scarf covering her otherwise undecorated head. Her eyes are a dark, shadowy brown that can sometimes be mistaken for black, making her pupils look overly large and giving her a childish face. Her skeletal structure is long but sturdy, making her well-to-do height of 5''8" look taller than actuality. Her jaw is solid, giving her child-like features an ironic strength. Though the hot sun has added darkness to her skin, even without she has an allover shadowy appearance with olive-tan skin, accentuated by her other darker features. Clothing is nothing but a necessity to this teen, there for her work clothes are simply a tunic of bland coloring and shorts that allow as much air circulation as possible to keep cool. The only color that can generally be found on her is the decorative and protective scarf around her hair and whatever weaving materials she is working with.
Personality: The children of Taakya's northern home often considered her a suck-up, though this was only because she was a hard-worker and quiet with them. Taakya has an oddly creative mind that keeps her thinking about colors and the inspirations around her, rather than the people. She could be considered cold if it wasn't for the bubbly joy that her smile and eyes betray when she is working with her craft. Though her voice isn't often the most expressive part of this girl, she has been known to stand up when she deems it necessary. She has a firm belief that there is good in all people and prefers to give them the benefit of the doubt. This can sometimes lead to coniving persons using her through her apparent gullibility, but Taakya doesn't mind, she just wants others to be happy. The greatest compliment a person can give her is to commend her work, however she seeks no praise through her toil, just joy.
History: Taakya's mother lost the first girl she gave birth to, as is typical of small holders with little money. In order to fill the gap that the infant's death left she continued with her work at the weaving crafthall, hoping to become a master before she died. However when Taakya survived her first years her mother left the crafthall to raise her only daughter and do the housewife's job, as she should. Unfortunately for Taakya, her mother's earlier failure led to over-protectiveness mixed with a defensive nature. Her mother was easily insulted over the raising of her daughter and any failure of Taakya's was a failure of her mother's. It was difficult living with such a burden on her shoulders, which may be part of why she works herself so hard. Her mother's body had been taxed from the two births and her constant worry and stressors and she died of old age. This was a hard blow to Sikayo and in order to escape the tormenting grief and memories of his late wife he took his daughter and all belongings and traveled to the mysterious southern continent. Being a small holder and not having much meant little in the southern continent the tiny family soon learned and through Taakya and her father's hard efforts they were able to secure a good bit of land near the weaving hall so Takaya could continue in her mother's dream for her and earn a few extra marks on the side.
Special: Taakya has an eye for color, which leads to not only good weaving designs but also paintings when she is able to find the plants she needs to make the paints. Other than that she enjoys the occasional woods outing, almost camping, that her father takes her on during resting weeks and is quite the outdoorswoman when given the chance and decent tools.
