Good Day Everyone :]
well, in the Northern Hemisphere, the Summer Solstice is just around the corner and I was wondering what everyone was doing!!!!
I want to make a protection charm from cinnamon sticks :] and some Gods eyes and harvest some yummy herbs :]
Also, I'm going to be using some water in my celebrations because the Goddess is full of the earth's fruits and life biggrin I just don't know how!
Tell me what you guys are doing! I'm going to be posting some great vids in the next post for you guys!

Well, I have to work on Litha, but luckily I get out well before the sun goes down, so there is to be some merry making indeed!
We'll be eating an extremely yummy and homemade dinner with lots of summer veggies and of course libations (the sun helped grow most of the ingredients in that stuff ya know biggrin ).
As for ritual, we'll prolly stay up all night, maybe watch the sun actually set near the bay. Might end up explaining the whole meaning to my not-entirely-pagan boyfriend smile Thats always fun though.
And...its not entirely related, but the following weekend (26th) is an eclipse, and Byron (Lord Darion Rahl) and I will be handfasted biggrin . So cheer us on as I not only devise that ritual but perform it (yes, it is usually done by a clergy member but we're more than short of them up here, and they charge more than they should...and we pretty much are our own clergy are we not? Lol).

aww, congrats Meri!!! biggrin
And your day sounds pretty cool biggrin
I've been wondering for a long time, what are libations??? I wish I could see one done but I can't seem to find a vid on it
I'm definitely planning on watching the sun rise and fall. Hopefully this is my best sabbat yet, which means that my plans go accordingly. Like, no rain. yeah, no rain would be awesome razz
I also have to get lots of sun screen...and bug repellent razz I know they play a part in nature, but i don't want them taking my blood for that part lol

Hmm, Midsummer... Well, it's not too important celebration to me, except for culturally, so I guess I'll just spend it with my family at our summer place, burning bonfires and simply enjoying ourselves. Of course I'll also have toasts to gods, but otherwise I haven't really planned anything special. It shall go as it always goes. 3nodding

I had hoped to do a little but good ol' thunderstorms made their way through here most of the day. Its great to see that this summer seems to not heading for the dry spell of recent years.
I hope everyone has enjoyed the day whether they could do anything, or wanted to, or not. heart

I was going to celebrate today, but the people I typically get together with are only open on Wednesday. We'll have corn bread, have a fire and a nice ritual.

My litha was really fun n.n
for the first time, it did not rain and nothing came up!
Loved it! Unfortunately, my bi-polar hit or something because as I was setting up my outdoor altar for my ritual I became...well...depressed...and it sucked... So I just lit my candles and meditated and gave a incense as a offering and all that stuff, but it wasn't a full blown ritual. Still nice, and the Altar was very pretty!
Thunderstorms came through here last night, which sucked cause my harvest was still outside razz its okay, just soaking wet lol
what did you guys do? pics? I'll post pics if I can upload them to photobucket

me and my friend took part in ritual with the UU Pagans around her (pagans at the universalist Unitarian Church of Joliet) on saturday night, passing around the mead and the jamesong irish wiskey was fun. rofl The sunday we where at an even called Tutti Insieme (All Together) it was basically a big vendor fair that me and my friends were selling stuff at. (we have an etsy page ill link it at the bottom) and partook in opening ritual that was a mixture of native american and wiccan. unfortunately while i was in closing ritual my friend Brian started to feel horrible pain in his foot (he has a realy gross hole in it from some sort of disorder he has thats just getting worse. hes actually in the hospital right now) and I had to jump outa the circle post-haste and get him home. other than that it was fun.
