"You don't have to! See?" The pinned wrist was shaken as her example; wasn't like she could pin herself like this! She realized her mistake when even more weight was on her, and she gave her own little 'oof' in response to it. "But they're only fun for yooou this is be nice to--" Pausing, Switch stared up at him as he started to pull the most pathetic and fake puppy dog look she had ever seen from him; she knew it was a lie, that he was just messing with her, but it still tore at her heart strings.
That JERK!
"Awwww...." She keened out pathetically, her free hand moving to curl around behind his head. "Poooor Baby~ I didn't mean to upset you." Pouting as though everything she said was the complete truth, Switch lifted her head and pressed a very brief kiss to his lips...and then pressed several butterfly kisses to his face, to whatever dark skin she could reach.
Then, of course, she licked his cheek. Go go retaliation!

"Pfft, they can be fun for the both of us if you gave them a chance! I am sure they are wearing tiny party hats," he grinned cheerfully as he rested on her and tilted his head when she cut off on him. He knew why and that was because she was reacting to his next face. The one in which he looked like a kicked and abandoned puppy.
He returned the kiss and even let her pepper kisses to his skin and then paused as she licked his cheek. Welp that was his mistake. Kale let out a gasp and then went limp on top of her and acted as if he had suddenly died from the contact that she had imposed upon his cheek. Switch's retaliation had killed him.
At least made him play possum for a moment.

Switch rolled her eyes. Germs in party hats, Right. Like that made them any better. Now they were contagious AND pointy. What a wonderful idea, lets give the invaders weapons and trojan horse them! Silly Kale, that wasn't helping the situation. His suddenly limp form made her 'oof' again, which made her realize just how heavy he was. Ugh, that wasn't fair, either!
"Kaaaaaaaaale~" Switch whined breathlessly, trying to either get him to stop playing dead or to just get off of her while he did it. Naturally, she got no response, and after a moment of stunned and pondering silence she started to shake his shoulders. "Stopthat! Pleeease stop that!" She sounded a little more panicked this time. "I'll...I'll bite you if you don't stop that!"

"Aww but I like it when you bite," he mumbled softly as he grabbed at her side and suddenly rolled off of the couch as he attempted to hold her close to him so that she wouldn't get hurt. Luckily he landed onto his back with a soft grunt and managed to avoid hitting the back of his head in a manner that could have caused some sort of concussion as he pulled Switch to come along with him, "Didn't mean to make you worry, Switch, don't sound so upset."
He was sincere as he spoke because her reaction made him feel horridly guilty.

Switch sighed heavily in relief when he mumbled, but the exhale ended up turning into a bit of s startled cry when he rolled off the couch with her. Grunting a bit when she landed on him, she wiggled to get herself comfortable again, then moved her hands around behind his head, gently checking for any forming bumps or, heaven forbid, blood.
"It's okay...I know you didn't." She pouted a bit, though she was pleased to not feel any bumps, and especially no blood. "But...I can't help but worry about you..." It was a suddenly somber note, but nonetheless true; she couldn't help it. What if something happened in the weeks he disappeared, that didn't come into affect until later? While she was paranoid, it was still an option.
"So...Let's go out! On a picnic or something!" Switch said, not so subtly changing topics. She got off of him then, instead moving to sit with her back against his side, rubbing at her face. "Since we don't ever get to be alone anymore."

He let her check his head for blood and bumps and thankfully there were none to be had. Kale watched her quietly and smiled a bit, "I know. I love that you worry about me...It means you care," he assured her and quietly turned a bit so he can support her back. He didn't really mind the change in topics just like he didn't mind the somber tone the situation made all of the sudden. As long as Switch was there he didn't mind anything at all.
"Sure let's go out~. We'll have fun together and then maybe we'll take a nap together since we rarely get to do that alone together anyways," he laughed lightly and sighed a bit. He didn't mind Tek as much as Tek seemed to mind him, still it made it hard for Kale to get any alone time with his mate which was a little frustrating though he held it all back well for the sake of Switch. He could never make her choose between him and her child, adopted or not.

A soft smile crawled onto her lips. Yes, she cared about him an awful lot...more than she had ever cared for anyone else, certainly. Reaching out, she grasped his hand and gaze it a little squeeze. "Alright, Food then nap." She agreed, nodding a bit. She let go of his hand, but looked back at him for a moment. There was something more that she had to say...but the moment had passed...and besides, her mind was heading towards other things.
"...Aww, Hell. Do you know where Quint took Tek? I don't want to run into them..." She loved her boys, but Tek seemed to have something against the two of them being alone. If the criminal knew she had lied about going to work today...well, that just spelled disaster. Instead of getting up like she wanted to, she rolled onto her side and sank down, draping on Kale's side as though he were a lounge chair.
"What should we do then?"

He gave a small squeeze to her hand in return and stared at her curiously as she seemed to want to say something but then it was gone. Like the moment was eaten up never to return. Ah well, if it was important she'd just tell him because Switch always told him the truth.
"Actually? They went to a movie-thing. Apparently an old trilogy is playing in the theaters this weekend. Bl...Blue...Blah..Blade? Whatever, something the boys seemed kind of excited over." Kale shrugged as he reached out and toyed with a bit of Switch's hair quietly. They could still go out they would just have to plan it carefully, that's all.
"We'll just go out to the nearby park with a small lunch and then we'll come back home. The boys will be in that theater for a long, long time," Kale laughed a bit unworried. A movie and an entire trilogy at that? Yes they would certainly be a while.

An old trilogy called Blade? ...Wasn't that the show with that big black man killing those Vampires? Of course they both went to that movie. That only made sense. Those boys sometimes worried her. But...only sometimes. Switch smiled when he played with her hair, leaning her head to lightly press it against his hand.
"Alright...if you're not worried, I'm not." She said affectionately, leaning in to playfully rub the tip of her nose against his. Now that they had a game plan, she could get to planning! Moving to stand again, she fixed her clothes and brushed herself off. "Anything in particular that you want?" For the picnic, of course. A hand was held down to Kale, which pretty much meant she wanted him to help her prepare a picnic lunch for the both of them.

As far as Kale was concerned it kept the boys out of trouble just letting them watch that sorta thing. He continued to play with her hair, "Nope not worried at all," he said happily as he rubbed his nose back against hers and sighed lightly as she got up. Oh right going on a picnic required some sort of effort. Damned effort!
He took her hand and used it to help himself up with a soft thoughtful hum as he offered, "Nothing really just a couple of sandwiches and some fruit would suit me just fine to be honest," he replied cheerfully. After he was on his feet Kale straightened his clothes a bit and then moved to follow Switch to the kitchen.

Sandwiches were easy enough to do. Very, very easy, actually. "Alright...why particular kind? Peanut butter, Ham, bologna? I know we have all of those, I looked." Because she was probably just going to make sandwiches for their picnic anyway! She let him himhaw it over, and as he did she pulled out what she needed to; bread, all three options, some of the fruits, and an assortment of other condiments. She knew what he usually liked on his sandwiches; she had certainly made enough of them over the year or so that they'd been together.
"I am really looking forward to that nap." Switch informed him happily, slicing some apples and oranges and putting them into containers, doing the same with some celery and dip. "I bet I could sleep all day, if I could." Not that she would want to, it took out a huge chunk of time for Kale...and their boys. "Anything else you want to do while we're out? I think once we get back here our options will be pretty limited."

"How does the food feel about your obsessive peeking habit?" Kale teased as he followed after her, "ham or bolonga sounds really good," he informed after his tease as he moved to get the bread and a couple of other items needed for the picnic. He looked thoughtful over her question for a long moment over whatever they would want to do while they were out.
"I'm looking forward to the nap, too. I think we'll figure out what to do next after we got some lunch down," Kale replied confidently as he stood next to her playfully bumping her hip with his own from the side.

"I'm sure if they could tell me, they'd let me know." Switch said matter-of-factly, sliding the peanut butter aside to make a few ham or bologna sandwiches. "Who knows, maybe our fridge is the food equivalent of an Adult Entertainment place." She waved her hand dismissively...then stopped as she realized what she had said. Making a face of disgust, she went back to making the sandwiches, cutting them diagonally because she could.
His little hip bump made her squeak, and instead of retaliating, she merely collected herself again and went to put all of the containers into a basket. A basket that she had bought just for today. You can't have a picnic without a picnic basket! Once the flap of the basket was closed, she looked straight ahead, not looking at him.
"I think you're forgetting something, Kale." She said, surprisingly seriously.

"We have a very scandalous fridge if that is the case," Kale observed as he watched her put the sandwiches and other things together with a bit of an interested expression. His eyes gazed at her face as she stared straight ahead and not looking at him and he smiled unconcerned and perhaps a certain degree of obliviousness as he leaned and kissed her cheek, "What's that, snuggle-butt?" he asked teasingly. He trusted her too much to feel any sort of fear.
Mild inklings of concern certainly, but not fear. Sure she had a knife in hand but she wouldn't hurt him!
He turned and got a juice bottle from the fridge and held it up...It was mostly empty. Huh! The boys certainly went through the juice...
