Has anyone ever noticed that they come in threes! Here's what I mean (Main series only)
NES/Famicom:
Final Fantasy
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
SNES/Super Famicom
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI
Play Station
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
PS2
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy XI (Yes it was released for the PS2 before the PC, so it counts)
Final Fantasy XII
PS3
Final Fantasy XIII (It was only officialy released on the PS3 in Japan so yes this counts as well)
Final Fantasy XIV (Keeping up with the trend and is being developed for the PS3)
So will history repeat itself and FFXV end up being for the PS3 as well?

It's possible PS3 will be here for a while; even with the rumored PS4. stare So I can say that it is likely that it will be more than 3 this time.
It might be possible that it will be 3 titles for Xbox 360 though. It's possible that MS will introduce a new console in the near future.

Actually 11 was released for the computer first but it does count since they made it for the ps2 as well.. same as 14 for ps3.
and u also forgot about x-2 a weird spin off but it counts

FFXIV is also for the computer. but yes I do think that is strange. Also now with XIII being for the Xbox360(unfortunatly I dont have a PS system anymore sad had two PS2's crash on me and cant afford a PS3 yet)

Please also realize, that Final Fantasy Agito XIII will be for the PSP just as Crisis Core and Dissidia was.
1. Final Fantasy Agito XIII
2. Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
3. Final Fantasy Dissidia

PS1: V,VI, VII, VIII and IX. Don't forget that V and VI were given PS1 versions with added FMVs.
PS2: X, X-2, XI, XII, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII.
PSP: I, II, IV(Was recently announced), Crisis Core, Dissidia, Duodecim (on its way).
That three game tidbit was just broken.

Final Fantasy Dissidia By that logic, we'd have to acknowledge Dirge of Cerberus, Versus XIII, Tactics, Tactics: War of the Lions, Tactics Advance, Tactics Advance 2: Grimoire of the Rift, Revenant Wings, The After Years, The 4 Warriors of Light... and the entire "pattern" would be thrown off.

That's because there is no pattern. They just release their games on what they feel will best suit the games playing style.
