Shikamaru glanced back once more befor walking off again, lifting a few fingers in farewell while tugging out a box of cigs.
Naruto frowned ad dropped his eyes to the ground. " amost everyones dissapearing.. can i really clean this place up iruka sensei. .."

pulling naruto into an embrace, iruka replied, ' it's going to be the hardest thing you've ever done, but i think you can. and i'll be by your side the whole way.'
hinata was going about her usual business when she came around to the gate. when she saw iruka holding naruto, she thought her heart would break, but she had sensed long ago that naruto probably wouldn't return her love, but seeing it was yet another story. a tear fell down her cheek.

Just as naruto was going to sigh he felt himself being tugged in to Irukas arm. The young hokage flashed his eyes up still new to such contact from anyone male or female. a small blush the blond placed a hand to irukas chest innocently while leaning to his shoulder it was strange it felt so soothing agenst his troubles which made him smile again.
He saw a figure from the corner of his eyes and looked over to hinata whom looked vary upset in her own silent way. Blinking he pulled away from Iruka gently and ran up to Hinata. he placed both hands an to her shoulders then wrapped his arms around her neck thinking nothing of it but wanting to pass down how much better he felt when Iruka did it. "whats wrong?? your not leaving too are you?"

at first iruka was confused. then he realized naruto was trying to confort an upset hinata. he walked over to them.
surprised, hinata said, 'n-no, why?' then it hit her. she pulled just slightly out of his hold. 'who left?!?!'

With naruto's expericence girls (sakura..) he knew grls were prone to hitting when there upset. the blond took the small tug away from him a sign to let her go. "..shikamaru " he answered under his breath but didnt forget the tears to her cheeks. " so.. tell me whats wrong.. " he said in a soft tone

not wanting naruto to realize she liked him, she composed herself. she'd changed drastically since she was young. she was a bit tougher, and not so shy anymore. she didn't like it when people worried about her. 'i-i'm fine,' she replied. 'why'd he leave?'

Naruto knew shikamaru leavingwas all his fault nomater what anyone told him. the hokage glanved to Iruka then to the outside of the village while folding his arm over his chest, seeming to be oblivious to hinatas deeper feelings unless given ovious hints. " He was over worked, i think.. everyone he truly cares about has died.but what mainly pushed him i think was his house burned down while he was trying to help me out.."

iruka gave naruto a sad look, wanting desperately to make everything ok again.
'oh my goodness, poor shikamaru. how about you? are you ok?' hinata asked.

Naruto flashed once of his smiles nd closed his eyes with a single nod. " Of course. if the hokages fine with high hopes, the people will be fine with out worry. no more moping around. " he said knowing for the past few weeks hes been avoiding people like the pledge feeling sad about the past. Naruto couldent even tell if he was truly sad or not with his confidence taking over. " lets all go out for romen! ne? " he said opening his bright blue eyes and looking to hinata then iruka for an answer.

smiling, iruka realized that naruto might have just come out of his funk. 'you bet,' iruka replied, placing his hand on the hokage's shoulder. 'and just to let you know, i'm by you'r side all the way.'
'sounds good,' hinata said, half smiling. she realized that even if she couldn't be his lover, that didn't mean she had to stop being his friend. 'i am too.'

Naruto gave a single nod to the both of them " Good, couldent do it with out you guys." he said then turned around in the direction of the romen shop for somthing to eat. " well. all whos coming along, lets head out. "
( meh more ppl need to join. this village really is barren lol )
