had an idea while at work earlier, and its a way to make money too.
basically, theres a character in the series of short books im writing, called "Richie". He's the first person on earth to create a sentient robot. He has put this sentience into a collection of small wooden dolls he has created, and they are his Mini'Matons. Each time the Sentience is placed into a new host however, it has a different effect on the way the 'maton acts. one is really shy for example.
i plan to make a collection of my own Mini'Matons, maybe to sell if i make enough of them. im thinking i'll use Artists Manequins to create them.
im looking for ideas for them however. this is what i have so far:
- Shy: attached to a top hat, looking out from behind it, has a small top hat of his own
- Sniper: has the lower half of his right arm replaced with an aether rifle. posed to be aiming down his arm, supporting it with his other hand. has some sort of targeting kit on his right eye
- Explorer: has a jetpack and flying goggles. is attached to a base and posed as if he is flying, holding onto the handles of the jetpack (which are part of the harness on the chest)
- Engineer: has a giant spanner (well, giant compared to him) and a welding mask.
- Soldier: has a gatling gun, which has an ammo feed leading into a large ammo case on his back (again, large compared to the mini'maton)
im also gonna do a one of a kind, panda-themed mini'maton for my GF, since she loves pandas, and i have gotten her into steampunk too!
so yeah, opinions and ideas would be hugely appreciated!
